dude. back on topic. superbowl. rigged to have a sensational outcome. that's the claim you've made, i'm trying to see if you have any actual evidence to back it up. from what you've said so far, i'm going to assume you don't, but if you do, would love to hear it.

I'd say this: if you wanna realize how games are fixed: BET ON EM...

A man who mentored me once told me: " you're gonna do well and all but I feel bad cause you're not gonna look at sports the same"... He was the dude that taught me about the NBA and NFL being rigged... And I said how is that? and he said you'll watch it and you'll see these obvious, sensational fixes and you're gonna see right through it now.

We're my beloved 90's Seattle Sonics crooked?

Or were they so pure there was no choice but to close them down

well use your eyes man.

You were watching 2 world-class phenomenal teams duke it out tonight right?

The Patriots what: naturally came back from 25 down in a short period of time against the worlds best on the biggest stage?

The thing that a lot of fans don't realize is that a lot of these players are very evenly matched. There's not this huge differential from superstar to roll-player like people assume.

Falcons were playing the biggest game of their life and with their ability had no reason to blow up a lead that big.

If you wan't cold hard proof: well I can't offer that. But I'd ask you to watch critically and I think you'd come to agree.

ok man. no disrespect intended here but i remain unconvinced and this is starting to sound like a conspiracy theory. you have no obligation to convince me of anything. i was looking to see if you would question the assumptions you're making on this when thinking about what evidence would be required to support them

people making millions and millions of dollars try as hard as possible and they do amazing things i mean fraud rigged cant be real just open your eyes

look obviously people cheat and there are conspiracies sometimes. but to say that there's organized conspiracies between many officials and big time players in the NFL but no one can ever prove it is ridiculous, put up or shut up

No worries man. I realize it sounds hard to believe. To consider it you have to ditch every mindset that we've been brought up to believe.

Truth is: I don't think a lot of these athletes care half as much about these "playoffs" as the media desperately tries to have us believe. They're getting paid and living large... Winning in the playoffs just means more time on the road and off from holidays.

ahhh there it is... The old child-hood rhetoric that people cannot and will not get over.

Truth is it becomes business and any good athlete learns that off the bat.

Take the Smashing Pumpkins: great athletes: err... "musicians" who sell that they're all "based on integrity"... Yet every few years they're desperately clinging to the trends to stay relative:

Gish: Janes Addiction that whole scene

SD: Jumping on the nirvana scene

MCIS: jumping on the harder grunge SG/AIC scene

Adore: All aboard the Manson imagery

Machina: TUNED DOWN KORN GUITARS

nice non sequitur

i'm not saying (many) people wouldn't cheat if they could, i'm saying it's way too complicated to have that many people cheat together constantly for no one to ever bust it open.

ahh it's not as hard as you'd think... Especially when it's mainly orchestrated by the Ref's massaging it along. All you'd need is the superstar or 2 on each team (if that) and you can get any outcome like gangbusters

how many teams are there? and refs? you're talking what, 50-100+ people, plus people running the bets? plus all the other teammates, that never catch on that something is weird?

The big deal is the ref's here. You gotta get off the player thing.

Tim Donaghy in his book said that the refs would get prepped with their agenda... "agenda"... It's not just calling the game "Olympic style" based fully on integrity. It's an entertainment corporation. If it was really just a contest based on skill teams like the Golden State Warriors would routinely beat teams by 40 points each night.

But yes, I do think players are in on it too... I've seen a lot of fishy outcomes...

Underdog teams where only 15 percent of the wagering public has bet on and the spreads +6.5 for the crappy team and the good teams up 9 points and with 5 seconds left during the crappy teams last possession they just march up the court and sink a 3 pointer with 2 seconds left... and all 85% of the wagers on the "good" team are cursing their "bad luck"

Literally any time a teams down and they can't come back during the last possession they just dribble out... But I've seen that shit happen way too many times to believe that the players are oblivious to it

There was one time the announcer for this prime-time game was even like "And look at that!!! a last second meaningless 3 pointer... Oh my goodness, the gamblers aren't gonna be happy about that!"

Whether this game was rigged or not is always up for debate. But if anyone wanted to do it in a game like this it'd be the referees. You'd need the lead ref and maybe one or two others. This speculation would be less of an issue for the NFL if they had actual full-time refs instead of these "businessmen" insiders who essentially moonlight as NFL refs.

The NFL is an 11 figure revenue juggernaut and yet is the only major sport without full-time refs which leads to fair speculation on fixed games.
