I was actually thinking about how in the 90s none of us teenage girls waxed or shaved, and how nobody had a problem with that because they hadn't already seen a million hairless muffs and decided that was the norm and naturally occurring pubic hair was gross and off putting. I am pro this. I had an ex with whom porn was a big part of foreplay. We were also long-distance for most of the relationship and we would often pick something to watch together over skype. It was good.

yeah that sucks. God I would never shave for anyone tbh. Early in our relationship my then boyfriend (now husband) asked if I was going to remove my underarm hair anymore and OMG I laid into him so hard about being a disgusting mysoginistic pervert creep asshole and how dare he ask me what I was going to do with my own body and if he didn't like it he could fuck off. And he was like "it's just that every woman I've ever known has done it" and I was like "every woman you have ever known was a piece of dumb trash then" and I stared him down and wondered if he was really such a dumb piece of shit that I was going to have to dump him over something so stupid but it turned out he wasn't that attached to hair removal so we stayed together

I don't really have preferences when it comes to other people's body hair (unless there was enough of it that it fell outside the typical range I guess), but I myself have always been thankful that I don't produce a lot of it. People used to ask me if I shave my legs in gym class because my legs are almost hairless. Similar story with my arms. Nope, just don't grow a lot. Pretty much hairless torso, too.

I'd prefer to have no underarm hair, and I was removing it for a while. But since I'm not in very good shape anyway, it felt a little like waxing a jalopy, so I stopped.

If I ever start eating right and get back into working out, I'll probably start removing my underarm hair again and get into #malemodel mode.

Yeah, I don't get why pubic hair would be a problem for anybody. Like, why.

I can kinda get people being hung up on the leg-and-arm hair thing, because cultural norms that say women shouldn't have those things have been prevalent on this continent for a while, but even then, so long as the person doesn't look like a Yeti and has within the "normal" range for natural hair growth for their sex, I'm not disturbed or anything.

I realize that this opinion is still kinda shitty of me, because somebody falling outside the "normal" range purely because of genetic variation is just as "natural" as somebody who does fall within that range, so maybe I ought to work on my acceptance of non-normative bodies.
