I've been scrolling thru this thread hella quick just checking what everyone is writing about me and ignoring all the others.

I feel bad about the ones I wrote more shitty stuff than good stuff about, and looking back on my post, and in most cases where I've done that, my esteem for the poster far outweighs my criticisms, but my post just kinda zeroes in on some flaws.

Slunken, Vixnix, Scotty, and Elph, you guys are good people and my last post unduly shat on you folks. I was also kinda hard on Fuzzy. He's expressed good will toward me, even after disagreements. Just needs to extend that concern to people whose distance from him may allow his empathy for other humans to be overruled by his allegiance to a media personality. Like, women who will lose their access to reproductive health, parents of a soldier who died in the line of duty who was maligned because of his religion, etc.

Also, with Scotty, this is another poster who gets a lot of shit that I don't understand. People always talk about him and RBG as if they are dogmatic leftist ideologues. That makes no sense to me. They are not even the most leftist posters on these boards, and don't seem any less flexible than any other poster. In fact, they seem to be the sort of pragmatists who feel that politics is about compromise and institutional reform, rather than idealists or radicals. Never understood why they are supposedly more fanatical than any of the other left-leaning posters on this board.

Oh and Elph, it was shitty of be to drag in some personal episode from your past in my last post.

Also, I said "recommend" when I meant to type "recognize" in my entry about Ram. Not even posting from my phone, so I can't blame autocorrect. I honestly have no idea what happened there.

I'd have written a lot more. But TBH there are maybe half a dozen people that i could honestly write that much about and have anything meaningful to say and worth me saying that isn't already being said by others. Like reprise, bonnie, fool, RBG etc. These are obviously good people and i like them and their board content.

There are a lot of regular/semi-regular boarders who's boarding activity i just don't pay much attention to, mostly because they're not posting or saying much in threads that i post in. There are a lot of people who post mainly on the SP board, for instance, and i barely post on the SP board. Then there's the fact that i have a really hard time remembering who said what. I am absolutely terrible at remembering names. It's a problem for me in my real life, actually. I forget names of people I work with. I have cousins who's names i forget. But i never forget faces or voices. I have a near perfect memory for faces. If i meet someone once i will remember their face forever. And if i see them years later, even if they've changes a lot, i will remember them. Although, i'll almost certainly never remember their name. Bulletin boards and social media are hard for me because of this. If avatars never change it helps me. but most people change their avatars. Occasionally someone in here will adopt a sexy female avatar and i'll think over and over that they're Duovamp. It's frustrating. Add to that the fact that peoples' board names are typically not even really names and i'm basically fucked. For me "disco king" is not too difficult to remember, but "turalyonw3" is like gibberish that I can't commit to memory. I had to go copy paste to make sure i typed it correctly. If he ever changed his avatar i might forget who it was posting. If the board conversations were happening in real life or on skype where i could see peoples' faces i'd never forget who said what. It would stick in my brain forever.

then there are shit boarders like pooty, fussy, dade, crabstack, etc. that i can't say anything good about and about whom i've already said plenty. I wish them pain and horror and misery.

in real life I am fairly good with remembering people, but on netphoria everyone used to just run together in a blur for me, except for a few really loud voices. Nonsense names and changing avatars didn't help, but I think it was mainly the large degree to which memes of behavior and speech bounced around the echo chamber here. Everyone was just another head of the hydra to me. 2 years ago I'm not sure I could have told you anything about teh b0lly other than he is Israeli. When I came back we exchanged some barbs via neg rep and then realized we're actually buds and are very similar. The board went through a big change when T and E left and it was like suddenly all these voices that were just part of background noise to me took shape.

Even you, I'm not sure I could have said anything about your life other than the two of us used to fight a lot. But now I really feel like I know most of the regular people here as real people.

I tried writing something about each poster, but I ended up feeling like it's unfair to pass judgement on people like that, and I felt kinda shitty about it.
Personally, I have no problem with anyone here. Everyone seems to bring something different to the boards and it's the variety that makes it interesting.

I only really dislike it when people are obviously just trolling for the heck of it and their sole contribution is a bunch of negativity, which leads to endless bickering and pointless arguments where no one is gonna stop to think and maybe change their minds when presented with a different perspective, because that is a sign of weakness on the internet.
