i think it's a bit facetious to simply label it 'a sex thing'. like, it's not only about the sex. when you share that compatibility with someone, it's like you have a connection that transcends words. the minute you have to explain something sex related to someone, at least for me, it's a massive turnoff (at least in the moment), but the flipside is once somebody just gets you with no need for explanation and you just riff on each other instinctively it feels so good it's just that much better.
