I liked it a lot in the beginning but it's not as rewarding as I want it to be. Customers are mostly confused rich assholes who are bored with their money. It gets old fast when people who you know have millions of dollars want to argue with you that there is something wrong with the frame job that only they can see, and somehow four framers can't and should thus be entitled to a discount or something. Go fuck yourselves. The shit that comes out of these people's mouths is crazy out of touch sometimes. One woman told me if Trump wins she is moving to Israel. I wanted to be like... so you're going to move to a country that's like if Trump had been president for 7 decades?

Anyway that plus my annoyances with the power structure and how things work has my mind fairly made up that this is not a long-term thing. I've already been there almost year, so I feel like it's more acceptable at this point for me to start looking for something else. Problem is that I really have no clue what would make me feel fulfilled. I don't like anything!

It was good to acquire a new skill though. Not that framing galleries are found on every block anymore, but it's an applicable skill which could find me work in the future if I need it.

vegetable: anything, really. today i feel like witlof (aka belgian endive, apparently).

fruit: i don't like fruit, generally. i hardly ever eat fruit. if you need favourites, i'll go with strawberries and blueberries.

meat: i prefer the more boring meats, without strong flavours (like game has, for example). i don't like bones or strings or fat very much either.
think chicken breast, steak, minced meat, stuff like that.
i've always been very picky with meat. i've gotten a lot better now.

She decided to work weekends. It means I look after them every weekend but it also means I am either working or looking after the kids, dont get any free time really. Which is really tiring.

Well...you do get all the weekday time outside of work. A lot of parents have their kids on the weekends, and spend all week either working, driving, or looking after their kids.

I guess maybe you mean that you never get a whole 24 hour period to yourself...but you know. Again...that's the situation that most parents are in...

it doesn't matter. watching a sibling dealing with cancer is as bad as having cancer. When a child has cancer, the family has cancer. Nobody ever really recovers from that.
