I'm a terrible caffeine fiend.

I'm not as bad as I used to be, but if I don't have at least 1 cup in the morning I feel like I am going to fall asleep on my feet by noon.

I have 2 energy drinks when I go into work

I drink coffee on the weekends

Coffee from my work is disgusting partially because I don't clean the urns well enough overnight tbh

for the most part I am anti-snob when it comes to food but truly bad coffee is hard to drink. gotta disguise that shit with cream and sugar

energy drinks make me feel crazy. I think I related that I drank a 5 hour energy this weekend for a long drive. it said it contained as much caffeine as a cup of coffee so I drank the whole thing and still couldn't get tired 12 hours later at 5 am. you probably mean redbull or something similar though which might be different I have no idea. they all taste like licking a wrought iron pole while you chew up a mouthful of chalk and gurgle urine

I drank the F outta coffee (like from the moment I woke up til noon) until I started seeing spots and got dx with hypertension

So I cut back to 2 cups a day and I like it better. My tolerance is lower so I can really do coffee and trip out. Plus blood pressure back to normal

I like those, but they're kinda pricey for what they are.

That actually sounds pretty normal to me. I always need a little assistance first thing in the morning.

How are people doing their coffee, out of curiosity?

Americans are way too comfortable with drip filters, as mired in all the trappings of a figurative Philistia as they are.

when i really think of it, i sort of have a super strict health guru diet, although i don't really mean for it to be that way.

my version of coffee in the morning (and before going to bed too, actually) is a glass of water with half a lemon squeezed straight into it. i don't really do any caffeine at all - no sweet drinks or sodas, barely any coffee (sometimes i might get a cup at a coffeshop, but they're few and relatively far between), almost no tea.

i try to eat as little meat as possible, no dairy at all except pizza. at home i mostly eat healthy stuff like whole grain brown rice with various lentils, tahini, eggs\omeletes, vegetables, etc. trying not to give in to temptation with stuff like fat heavy croissants\chocolates\cakes etc etc.
i mean i'm not especially adamant about living up to 120, even being 32 is too much, but that's just how i naturally operate i guess.

i guess if china was a bit more vegetarian friendly it'd be much easier for me to avoid eating meat altogether, but that niche is almost nonexistent here, there's meat in practically anything.

i used to do my coffee with an italian maker, now i've been trying the aeropress.
despite following the instructions, the results seem to be inconsistent. well actually i don't take the time to make sure my water is at 85 celsius.

Was doing French press but got into the drip boil thing living with kids. It's hard to put any work into your coffee when what you really need is just some good hard drugs in your face 1st thing when you wake up, so the 3 year old doesn't end up going to school with peanut butter in her eyes and pants on her head etc

Also I eat anything and everything. The spicier and weirder the better. Particularly enjoy seafoods of all kinds. Only rule is I try to save candies/cakes/various empty calorie treats for when I honestly need/deserve a good dopamine boost

I don't like coffee at all. Really dislike the taste of it.
And I find the whole culture built around coffee to be a lil' weird.
