i just signed up for a free drum lesson. i googled 'drum lessons 60612' (mi codigo postal) and found a place a straight 15 - 20 minute bus ride away and what luck! they are offering a free trial lesson until september 12th.

a few weeks ago tim's coworker offered to let us house his son's kit in our basement since he had no use for it for the time being, but that guy put in his two week's and i guess taking that offer along with him.

another woman who works with tim said yesterday she is selling a kit for $75 and can even deliver. so now i will have something to play and i'm finally scheduled for a lesson. woo woo. ready 2 rock!

drum lesson was better than expected. i assumed it might be a few people plus the teacher since it was free. but the lesson was just for me and it lasted a whole 90 minutes. the dude was really cool about it...after about 30 minutes he asked if i needed to be anywhere and we kept going.

i got to play a few beats and learned some beginning techniques. did a little sight reading. at the end he wrote down a list of things i could practice to be in good shape for a lesson in the future.

he looked like jesse bradford and was super congenial and a good teacher (he's been teaching for 18 years and is a working drummer). A+ will do again.

Heard a joke about frequent urination, and apparently peeing 11 times a day (for a dude) is a whole lot? Jeez I probably go like 18-20 times a day. I knew that was kind of a lot but didn't realize just how excessive that must be, even for a chick. I really need that cancer screen and cryosurgery I was supposed to get!

10 times a day is probably average for me. I drink water constantly though; I'm a firm believer in hydration. Many people just do not drink enough damn water

I'll pee like twice an hour while I'm awake and usually get up from sleep at least once to go as well. But I've never thought it was a medical issue, I drink a lot of water amongst other things.
