Oh man I fucking hate that. I hope you shake the feeling soon. I can't gasp right now because of my back. I think it might break me in half.

Grrrrrr so the food stamp letter arrives today for an appointment yesterday.....this has happened three times so we go up there and the lady there tells us to fill out a missed appointment form and they'll mail one to reschedule....again. I told her this has been going on for three months, the mail is too slow to notify us in time and we just want an appointment. Well she says we can set it up by phone and I tell her the problem is that we don't have a phone a d she tells us to call a number if we have more questions, she can't control the mail. What?! Ugh this is seriously impossible, and of course she was rude as fuck about it for no reason off the jump. I never have an attitude in public I'm too quiet, and I do t know why she decided to be unhelpful. This is never gonna get resolved like this and we definitely qualify for food stamps!! I have no fucking food! Angry

Not that can call or receive calls, it's good for texts if there is internet but I have to use wifi since there's no time on it

Feel pretty much the same. Didn't like Club Dread, though I've known people who swore by it so maybe there's something I'm missing? Probably not gonna sit through it again to find out.

You know, I can certainly understand this mentality BUT are you saying just because someone is addicted to drugs they don't deserve to eat?

I haven't done opiates of any kind in prolly three weeks now, anyway. It'd be great to but oh well its just not working out right now. I got other plans

no, i'm saying i don't feel sorry for ANYONE who chooses to spend their money on something they don't need in lieu in something they do (and then has the nerve to complain about it as if it isn't their fault).

ask her how much money she and/or her husband put towards drugs in a month. and then how much she spends on food or having a phone to receive calls about her food stamps.

I understand spending all of your money on drugs... and she still does deserve to eat. Yeah it's selfish and probably not fair, but addiction is hell, and no one sets out to be a junky. I was lucky - my family still talked to me and I never had to worry about it. But she totally deserves to eat man

my stomach is still killing me i dont know what's wrong. it's like i'm full of soft poop but only a little will come out at a time and the rest is just sitting there like some kind of stone, somehow. i'm not nauseated or anything it's just like aching pain

i did go to class and i did eat a little today even though i didn't want to. in my first class i was trying to write and i was really fucking shakey for some reason. it looks like a 2nd grader wrote it and took me twice as long. but by my last class at 12:30 i was ok.

i also broke my stupid glasses a few days ago and ordered new ones from zenni optical on labor day and they are scheduled to come tomorrow, can you fucking believe how fast they sent them? I mean I paid $20 for 7-10 day shipping and they are coming in 3, and it still cost me like $40 for two pairs of glasses

i've taped them and have to replace it a couple times a day so it's workable but very annoying. of course they don't sit right but thank god i wont have to go to work with them like this, that would be annoying as fuck

Right, and I agree. But it's not like people on food-stamps (or WIC as I believe it's known now) are living the high-life on our dime. It's a very small, minimal amount.

There's other things our tax dollars are being spent on that deserve much more scrutiny.

i don't know where i said she doesn't deserve to eat. actually, i never said that. she doesn't even try and help her own situation and she almost seems proud of being the way she is - proud of putting so little into her life and expecting so much. my mom used to tell me -'i only help people who help themselves'.

and i know she isn't asking for my help, but she sure ain't gettin' any sympathy from me. so i'm gonna post what i want to her bullshit.

a lot of people need foodstamps and have good reasons for seeking that supplemental help. but a lazy drughead who wastes her money and doesn't work isn't one of them in my eyes. she's what gives people on welfare a bad name.

wic and foodstamps are different programs. wic stands for "women, infants and children" and it's certain food items like juice, milk, eggs, peanut butter - for pregnant women and children under 5 for families that qualify

I hope you feel better reprise. My husband works and just interviewed for a second job. I've worked until two years ago after being in and out the hospital for anorexia my digestive system is permanently messed up and I throw up every single day with immobilizing pain, so I need disability but it's a slow process. The pain is how I started opiates in the first place. But I still don't want sympathy, just don't like the implication that were just lazy.

Ah, yes. Thanks for clarification.

My mom (who worked sometimes up to three jobs at a time to keep us afloat) received food stamps when I was growing up. Back in the day where they were literal "stamps" (bills). Now I believe everyone gets a debit card.
