symbolism in dreams doesn't work like this. not everything is the same for everybody. their are common themes, but part of the reason things can be symbolic is because you know what the symbol means beforehand. there's an argument to be made for common symbolism in dreams but i doubt frogs would be included in that.

yeah. he wasn't a doctor though i don't think, but a mid level (masters). not that that really matters, but he can't call himself doctor, that's a regulated term

masters providers can be just as good as phds (and phds can be just as bad as masters) but they have a bachelor's degree in usually psychology, plus a lot of education on counseling. phds will have had to understand the scientific method thoroughly, done their own studies, and had certain points of interest they've really developed and come to an understanding of, separately from actually counseling. there are still plenty with crazy beliefs of course but they're exposed to much more actual science than masters usually are. plus more years of study

gossamer could never have done a phd program, i doubt it anyway. he's is/was an idiot. you have to be able to write on an advanced technical level and do experiments and shit. nothing indicated he was capable of that as far as i could tell. he'll just keep doing shitty group dream analysis.

he definitely didn't seem to be licensed. so he'd have been supervised for a while. i think you need 1500 hours in this state, post degree supervised hours. so if you're not licensed someone who is licensed has to supervise you for the required hours. actually you never need to actually be licensed if you work this way, but in practice that means you'll prob have few if any individual clients and you'll have to pay for supervision. this happens sometimes at large offices for this reason, or in some hospitals even. one licensed social worker or someone else (making them a social worker gives them more leeway to do other things) and a group of non-licensed people who all get supervision from the social worker. i'd avoid working with someone who isn't licensed though, obviously, unless they aren't licensed just because they haven't gone through the original 1500 hours and it's group therapy. i think that situation is ok a lot of the time. or sometimes free counseling places, college campuses, etc have interns working on their 1500 hours

Doubtful. The mites dead bodies and poop take a long time to exit your body and stop making you itch. They're there, but dead. Follow the instructions your doctor gives you. Sometimes some aveeno can go a long way with soothing the pain of dry skin from winter and scabies/permethrin.

While I understand that you're a downtrodden American with few rights as an employee, I've got to say that this just isn't on.

Being on-call seems to be the most awful form of wage labour. You're not just selling a certain portion of your time and energy, but your employer pretty much has a claim on every minute of your life, as even when you're not working, you have be prepared to drop everything an any time.

No kidding how can you even make any plan. I've only ever been on-call in a retail situation having to run in and cover a no-show or something and even then it's jarring, disrupts ones whole flow, esp. if, like me, one is a fragile creature of routines who flips out at last minute switches

halfway home from work today I notice my windows are moving slowly and my dash lights are kind of dim. fuck. I just need the car to get me home. nope. car dies on a 2 lane road with no shoulder which is heavily trafficked by commuters. I put on my emergency signals and started motioning for people to try and go around me as I pushed the car towards the guard rail. people start honking and yelling like it's my fucking fault my car just broke down. some fucking toolbox threw a red solo cup at me.

I went to call roadside but the roadside number is not on my insurance card for some fucking reason. fortunately a cop rolls by quickly and offers to jump my car, which he does, and gives me some flares. I head on home and 2 miles from my place, the car dies again, this time in a fucking intersection for two major 3 lane roads. So I got out and started pushing the car again as people are whizzing by me like fucking psychos honking and shit. I call the insurance company and get the roadside number, and then my phone dies, like somehow went from displaying full battery to turning off immediately. what the fuck. now it's getting dark. now it's starting to rain.

I lit a flare and figured I would wait for another cop. waited an hour and somehow not a single cop passed me at this huge intersection. finally a regular person stops and asks if I need help and I said if I could just make a call with his phone I would love him forever.

so roadside did eventually come get the car and took me home. then I got in my mom's car and went out for alcohol immediately. I had to go to a different beer store than usual though because I am ashamed to show my face in my usual one for a fourth time in one week
