so my ent vacuumed out my middle ear thru my tubes as much as possible and my ears are still clogged. he prescribed a strong broad spectrum antibiotic for three weeks and methylprednisone for a week. in 4 weeks i get a CAT scan of my sinuses. if this doesn't work i have to have surgery and even if it does work it might be a good idea if this will keep happening. basically the tubes have failed to fix my problem at this point. chronic sinusitis + infected adenoids = hearing problems. he tested me wit a tuning fork and i can hear better through the bones in in the back of my skull than directly in front of my tympanic membrane which is no good.

wish me luck. and kitty has surgery tomorrow morning. i got her the stinkiest cat food with tons of gravy and she ate the entire can

i was given charcoal to drink in the hospital and my shit came out black with whites bit in it. i think they were the gum i've eaten throughout the years.

I've had charcoal too but I can't remember much else about it other than the horrible consistency. Oh and it was oddly sweet, like they put aspartame in it. Yuck

cefdinir. never had it before. never heard of it before. everyone on the internet says it gives them extreme diarrhea and vomiting and/or headaches for days/weeks but besides that it seems to work. so far no side effects for me, thankfully. im taking 4x my normal dose of probiotics.

have i mentioned my dad had open heart surgery today? he'll be in ICU until sunday, but general reports are positive on his condition

so in the past week my mom, dad, and cat have all had surgery... dad is super srs surgery, mom pretty damn serious, cat moderately serious - not 'major surgery' but cats health can turn bad really fast with bad infections and anesthesia, etc... she was under for almost 3 hours. and i found out it's pretty likely i will need minor surgery too, though mine would i think be outpatient and not life threatening, just if i want to hear

though i do think my ears are slightly better today. and no side effects still.

my cat's surgery cost total vet w/ surgery cost is like $910

i dont even care honestly, she's feeling so much better. they have her on bupenorphine. the post surgical dose is pretty hefty, about .15mg every 12 hours. if i was a still a huge piece of shit i could probably take a few doses and catch a buzz... shit, i could probably get a buzz on two doses if i IVed it. obviously i'm not going to do either of these things but god damn this vet don't play.

i also fed my mom a ton of percocet last weekend/week with only a very small urge to jack a couple. go me.
