Seriously though, everyone needs a job and I try not to think of any job as beneath me, but if I ended up working at a Dollar Store, I would probably slit my wrists. Take that to mean what you will.

I worked 20+ hours a week at home depot earlier in the year. $11 an hour but I withheld a lot because it's my second job. In texas that could probably go farther. It is not a lot.

I would walk a few miles a day which was nice and good for me and I enjoyed interacting with customers that came into the garden center

mostly because it doesn't seem like you would meet any engaging customers and the fluorescent lights...yeesh! i work part-time at a botanical garden and i meet my fair share of grumps, but sometimes i have delightful conversations with adults and children alike.

by the end of the day, though, i'm exhausted but hyped from being "on".

Nope! I took a few college courses when I was 26 but it ultimately went nowhere.

Every time I've been to a Dollar Store, the customers look even more miserable than the poor people working there. I can't even imagine what hell it must be working there.

Dishwashing was a pretty dope job. At least it seemed that way when I was 16.
