I had a whole thing I was going to post but lost it. I'd like to first establish, with evidence, that she had a hand in releasing the audio tape. Then I'd like to see the honest concession that what he is describing in that tape is sexual assault and that he most likely has sexually assaulted women. If we can't establish these basic things I see no point in further debate.

Serious question:

Why exactly should Clinton be in jail? Benghazi? Emails? She's had, what, NINE hearings and none have found any wrongdoing? By the way, SEVEN embassies were attacked under George W. Bush - where was the outcry then? I'm no Clinton supporter. She's not a fucking 8 year-old failure of a human being like Donald Trump, but she is 100% bought and paid for by her handlers, as she essentially admitted in her Goldman Sachs speeches. But again: what makes Hillary qualified for prison? In the same way that Trump has milked the tax system designed by corporate lawyers to save the ultra-rich fuckloads of money, Hilary has exploited her political power for personal gain. But all of that shit is legal and that's the whole point. Neither of these people are going to change the system because they work within the system's framework. Lobbyists buy the politicians and vice versa, doesn't matter if you're a corporate fatcat or a political oligarch.

But yeah what exactly is Clinton accused of being?

wasn't the magnitude a little different though? He led us into a war under false pretenses which led to thousands of dead Americans and hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis, not to mention losing 22 million emails. It just seems like the uproar is disproportionate to the magnitude of the crime. 4 dead and 30,000 emails with no evidence of any wrongdoing. What pisses me off is that she accepts money from Saudi Arabia and other foreign governments and mixes Clinton Foundation funding with her personal campaign funding. Lots of dirty money surrounding her. But again is that explicitly illegal? Seems to me like she's really good at working within our extremely corrupt political framework. And I guess Bush was, too.

But a private convo where he is trying to be macho and brag about how many women he can bag and how easy it is for him, is not, by itself, sexual assault. If he actually did these things without consent then of course that is sexual assault.

It is not inappropriate at this time to bring up Bill's sexual offenses and Hillary's defense of him, and by extension, his actions, if the political conversation is going to focus on sexual assault. If the national conversation is going to be on that subject, then anything Bill and Hillary did on that front is fair game.

Anything that comes by her desk for a decision, she has the ultimate say in. But that doesn't mean that everything that comes out she had a say in. That's bad logic. It is not self-evident that she put out these tapes, no matter how much you say it is. If she did green light it, that would negate one of my points: that he is using victims to shield himself from what he himself did to himself, without any attack from Clinton. That is definitely more fucked up than if he was responding to an attack, although it's still fucked up either way.

Even if she did directly leak the tape, which there is not evidence for (and "self-evident" isn't even a logically sound thing come on it's 2016), unearthing something shitty a candidate said and using it against him is fair game and par for the course. That's just an election. In 2008 I'm sure TOC was all over the Reverand Wright shit and that didn't even come out of Obama's mouth.

Also, there are many allegations that he has committed sexual harassment, sexual assault, attempted rape, and rape. The video was released in the first place in response to the growing number of female former associates of his speaking out about his actions.

It's so funny how Poots claims not to be a Trump supporter and attempts to come off as some neutral, "free-thinking" observer, yet he bends over backward to defend Trump's every action. People who are voting for Clinton in this thread have acknowledged more of her flaws and shortcomings than the Trumptrainees have acknowledged about their blameless idol. It's easy to see how manipulative his statement is, for sure. The thing I like best is his bringing up how it's 11 years old. That might be an excuse if he was like 30-40 years old, you could say one has matured since then, but at his age? Please.

There is something interesting that I've noticed abusers tend to do, that was sort of brought up. They do show you, in some way, their fucked up side, and then use that knowledge against you later when you cry foul at their behavior. It's like if you knew about it but chose to put faith in them anyway, you're a stupid bitch and they need to teach you or you deserve it or whatever. This is just anecdotal but I swear this is a pattern.

I don't think she personally wants to do anything but win, but the Democrats in general do more for poor people, which I am one of, than Republicans. And for sick people. And for women. I need that and so do many others. I also support globalization and taxing the fuck out of the richiest of the rich. They won't be in any discomfort for it. Not having food stamp and healthcare programs is deadly. Being xenophobic is stupid and backwards.
