Not sure why they went for matching fabric on the bell-end and balls, there.

I can't really remember the last time I listened to the radio. The music being played just became stuff I didn't really care for after a while. It was pretty obvious that most music was being promoted by labels and less of it was about listener requests. The sound landscape did change over time to a direction I just found strange to be called rock or "alternative" and whatever did sound right to be called that was just not that great.

These days I'm listening to music I have on my tablet's SD card or i'll stream something off of Google play music. There is still good new releases from former big label bands of the past as well some decent new music from new bands if you give an unknown band recommendation a try. I find that the recommended artists play music offers have gotten better. I also noticed that I really have to search for info about some artists though to keep myself abreast on new releases if I'm not following them on a social media site.

At least in brazil, everything that gets played on the radio was paid for by record companies/artists.

10k will get you played twice per day on the popular rock station.

Radio stations don't even have DJs. Playlists are run by a computer. Contacting some poor sucker in a cubicle somewhere will make no fucking difference.

If you played non-rock music that involved an accordeon you'd have a better chance of making it here.

I turned on DC 101 today and heard a Nirvana song and 3 post-grunge songs from like 2002. So it's the same as ten years ago, the last time I listened to it.

Y'all got Jack FM? It's ubiquitous here, every little town seems to have it. It's top 100 from 80s 90s and a smattering of 00s. They have a knack for playing rather obscure singles that u forgot u wanted to hear, mixed in with some ac/dc n such

yeah I think Jack formats are actually just run by computers, like they don't even have DJs to talk in between the songs, right?

I have a Jack FM. I have no idea if it's connected to what you guys are talking about, or if it's just similarly named, but it has people who try to be funny in between songs, much like any radio station.

Yeah Jacks pretty solid. But I'll be enjoying it and all the sudden some really shitty Lady Ga-Ga or The Black-Eyed Peas song will come on and piss me off... And Maroon 5 seems to play all of the time which pisses me off to no end... Nothing worse than that moves like Mick Jagger song
