That's the only thing I've seen him in playing drums. For the longest time I thought Dave Grohl was joking when he said Prince was a better drummer than he was, but I heard he wasn't kidding after all.

I've largely ignored the conspiracy Prince talk. I heard about this on the 21st and I have to admit the thing about the Queen's birthday is all I needed to see to know there's more than meets the eye here. But if Dick Gregory's talking about it, I'm gonna listen.

This a thread about Prince. So I'm talking about Prince. Also yo soy, I just took a shit and couldn't help but notice that it was bigger than you.


If people ever told you to listen to your elders, they were talking about Dick Gregory.


Would it really be shocking to know that Prince was murdered. nah.


What I didn't know before I watched this video was that the plane Prince was flying in is owned by Warren Buffet. I knew Time Warner was his old label he pissed off with that lawsuit he eventually won, but didn't know that TW owns TMZ. That's an interesting loop that puts into question anything TMZ reported about Prince's death.


It strains credulity to claim he didn't have a will.


Lastly, I knew that Micheal Jackson owned the rights to the Beatles catalog, but didn't know he bought it for $12 million way back when and then after he died, the estate sold it back to Sony for $750 million. As Mr. Gregory put it, "there's your white supremacy". That's one biased, racist point of view I can't find much fault with.

Gregory posits the first plausible theory/scenario I've heard about his death. That they killed him in that plane and TMZ took over the news cycle days before it was made public. He's absolutely right when he says these types of folks will wait a decade or two to settle grudges and the bad vibes between Time Warner (i.e. the entertainment rulers) and Prince along with his temp-tatoo of 'slave' is probably what did him in.


That lawsuit was amazing really. He sort of reneged on the deal after he didn't like it. TW signed him to 100 million for 5 albums but forgot to put a time clause in it. 1st one went fine for TW but then 3 months later he gives him another and wanted his 20 million for that, but TW didn't like that album.

He locked himself in a room for two weeks to learn how to legally get out of the contract and that's why he dropped his name and became a symbol. He got to the roots of natural law vs maritime law and when he figured that out, he REALLY took on the Beast at that point. And won.

Well, at least until recently. So, on the Queen's 90th birthday they sacrificed a Prince. Hiding in plain site with such symbolism is part of their m.o. Wouldn't be surprised at all that's how it all shook down for the guy.

If you actually read it then you'd know I said it's the most plausible theory I've heard which doesn't equate to me believing it. I'd rather be cynical then naive through life, but that's just me.

As Mr. Gregory put it, truth doesn't need validation from ignorance. The theories are interesting but the conspiracy facts and realities are too much for most, something I'm fully are of and which is fine up to a point.

Prince fought off teams of lawyers in the dozens against Time Warner (which spent upwards of $50 to $60 million dollars in the case) by making an end run around the law by learning it himself. He was a classic control freak who wanted complete ownership of his music. He paid immense attention to detail right down to every lint on his attire and hair on his head.
