yeah, I'm 27. When I hit 22 my body suddenly started warning me that I was not treating it ok. Too much junk food, soda, no exercise, too much alcohol. I started eating better, running, etc. I'm not giving up smoking weed or drinking (although it's much more moderated now), so I try to stay on top of self-care in other ways. I've been trying to bulk-up a bit, but my main concern is health vs. aesthetics, so I'll have to live with whatever going to the gym twice a week will give me. I'm naturally pretty thin and my body resists weight gain, so it is what it is. When I went abroad I lost 15 pounds leaving me at a hefty 130, and I have not been able to gain it back.

Man that's great sounds like you got a head start on healthy adulthood

The scariest bathroom in the dirtiest dive bar in town had graffiti of a lil horned gremlin for the longest time. He said:

"More weed! More beer! More pussy! MOOOOOOOOOOOORRRREEE!!!!"

Exchange the "pussy" for "pron" and that was me until like 26-27 when I quit drinking.
Before that belly/head were kinda dumpsters for whatever gremlin thought it wanted

This was the worst week. My mom died on Monday the 16th. She went to lay down for a nap, and passed peacefully in her sleep. She already had some heart issues going on... but her last cardiologist appt a couple of months ago didn't show anything imminent.

I had a delayed reaction to it... went into complete shock. I still cannot believe she's gone.

I'll never hear her voice again... and that's just too much for me to bear right now.

The only thing that comforts me is knowing she went in her sleep. I've seen people die horrible deaths... from worse things.

And I feel like such an idiot. Her birthday was the 19th. Walked by the card section at the store .... totally lost it. Started crying... and strangers were standing there. Someone please tell me that I'm not the only one that has done that. I'm usually a person who is in control of my emotions.

so sorry Starla.... huge hugs. ;( a close friend just lost his mom. he delayed telling people fearing himself getting emotional. he texted me the news. I called him back immediately. I was crying instantly. it was the first time I'd heard him cry. and he was holding back a lot.

my brother died 17 years ago on the 8th. I didn't cry at his funeral. I didn't cry for years. I cry often thinking about him now.

the more crying done the better.

Starla I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Someone told me once the bravest, most healthy thing you can do in times of trouble is to let yourself feel everything openly. Don't feel like you have to shut it down for others.

Nah, but I'm thinking of starting so that I save time by working opposing muscle groups while resting another group.

Thank you. I'm sorry about your bro. I lost mine a few years ago. Like you, I didn't cry for the longest time.

Thanks. Part of my job is shutting down a lot of my own stuff for others. I've taken off a month and see if I can go back then.
