i keep on writing and editing and writing and editing and my paper is staying around 3100 words and im like fuck you why do you have to be such a good writer and make everything so conscice erica this is only worth 20% of your grade and you've spent like 50 hours on it.

but i cant focus on any other work but this paper its all consuming, im not even studying for my other classes woe is me

my sister is a graduate research methods prof and she said i write better than most of her first year graduate students. she doesn't normally butter me up or anything so im pretty happy with her assessment. though she told me some shit to fix too

I'm not a huge Bombadil fan but the Old Forest is one of the best parts of the book. The Barrow Downs are more terrifying than Mordor

Try watching Thirtysomething. It's nothing but whiny baby boomers who hate their lives. Someone recommended that show to me. I think millennials who hate their lives and America might enjoy it more than I did.

girlmore girls was extremely aimed towards teenage girls who watched it when it came out but we were lucky because not only was it relatable but well written. on par with the writing of roseanne, golden girls, and bored to death. but i get why people who are adults now, not having ever seen it, would not want to give it a chance.

the same old boring thing i hear about why people don't like it is the way the two main characters, mother and daughter, both speak quickly.
