i changed my schedule at work starting last weekend and i think that will help my mental state. i was so booked up between 5 classes and working 25hrs a week. i work about 12 now. only been one week but it was really nice last weekend to actually have some free time

i also made a really cool friend in one of my classes. we usually study together in the library. well, study independently, sitting next to each other. she wants to be my friend for some reason lol. she texted me a few hours ago to see if i wanted to study tomorrow and im going to be there so yes.

thats a happy and good thing

I should probably do that. Only taking 4 classes, but working 28 hours a week. Time's getting pretty tight. And last year, the same sort of thing led me to hand in a bunch of shit late.

I never know how to make friends at school. One semester I tried talking to one person in every class. I never knew how to move on from "frequent small-talk before lectures" to "actual friends that chill outside of class." The one guy who did latch onto me and continues to talk to me when we cross paths turned out to be a creepy men's rights activist so that kind of deterred me from trying to make friends.

Though at the beginning of this semester, a few people have started small-talk with me without me even initiating it. And one person in one of my courses said we should get beers sometime. So, happy and good things are happening to me, too.
