I am anti-tie. I can't respect a piece of clothing which is basically a ceremonial representation of global consumer capitalism's yoke on my neck

Man the worst is if you have to shave then put on a gotdammed mothrfuckn tie

I got mad sensitive neck; I'm lucky if I don't have a butt-ton of tiny, itchy, painful razor marks on a good day, then I gotta noose my poor raw neck off with a tie? He'll naw

Also - 90% of people wearing ties don't tie them right or the length is wrong, which makes you look like a dunt.

There is a guy at my work who has worn a tie with jeans (plus - the emo belt buckle to-the-side horseshit) for years and I want to throttle him.

It's cute how we get to watch redbreegull growing up, albeit rather slowly, before our very eyes.

Yeah I'm totally against neckties too, but that's cos they come from an as-yet-unannexed area of Greater Serbia (known to the ignorant (as Croatia [croat=cravat]).

Being anti-tie and formal wear is something you do as a hippy teenager

Then you grow up and realize it looks pretty nice and it doesn't have to be expensive

If you tie it right it's not uncomfortable either

there is a guy in my first class that reminds me of you because he has pale skin, dark hair, a kind face, and a little mop-top. plus he always dresses up for class with little blazers and a tie.

I know I look ridiculous choosing a dress shirt + tie to community college

But just fuck Tshirts and blue jeans

Especially on men it doesn't look good

I like dressing like a grown man

don't martyr yourself. i didn't call it ridiculous. i think it's nice. it's gross when people obviously dress like shit by wearing wrinkled clothes or jammies to school.

i sit well across the room from him, but on wednesday before class ended he said "hey, have a lovely weekend'. so now of course i think he's nice.

nah jeans and t-shirt make the best every day outfit. I do like nice clothes if there is a reason to dress up, but on a day-to-day basis, comfort is much more important. I am not impressed when I interact with someone who is wearing a dress shirt, so I assume most other people also do not give a shit what I am going to be wearing unless the occasion is like a date or a job interview. no nice outfit is ever going to be as comfortable as a t-shirt and jeans and open shoes, especially in the summer. When it gets colder out I tend to dress a bit better because more clothes are necessary, and it's easier to blend comfort with style with jackets/boots/sweaters etc.

the idea of putting on a nice shirt and pants to go to class is totally alien to me. kids went to class barefoot at my college

tshirts are uncomfortable to me they never fit right

If it's really hot outside I have like plain colored short sleeve type stuff

I'm not trying to hate on Tshirts for other people I'm just not very fond of them anymore

Yes, this is how I feel about clothes too. I wish people didn't even have to wear them.
