"some of us don't feel physically safe confronting racists"

"it's not my job to teach other white people about racism. enough is enough."

meanwhile every racist would love to take some time out of his or her day to explain to you why racism is the correct way

*sigh*

I find a rolling of the eyes and/or lack of comment is usually sufficient.

Or maybe I just don't find myself engaged with a lot of over-aggressive racists.

ultimately I wouldn't be friends with someone who uses slurs all the time or hates black people or something. but like every other white guy I encounter plenty of or shit now and then. but yeah if we just totally stop talking to them and compartmentalize them into an entirely different realm of society, they will definitely learn their lesson then!

Lots of pics suggesting people put peppers, lemons, or hot sauce in their eyes to reduce puffiness. Mean-spirited idiot purging today!

I'm really glad I don't have kids/toddlers and don't have to spend time around them

Yeah, I mean, I like kids well enough, but jee-zus. They get tiring really fucking quick.

I'm impressed that you guys know how good you have it. I didn't know anyone with children, before I had my own, so I had no idea what it was going to be like.

I actually thought it was going to be like having a cat, like you have to feed it and pat it, but you still have evenings and weekends free.

So so many babies on my Facebook feed. Also hung out with my friend and his adorable one year old daughter today. Want one but don't have a home of my own so I won't have any for now.

My first niece was born when I was 15 going on 16. And my sister was still living at home/mooching, so I got the full experience of what it was like to be around a baby/toddler at a very impressionable age. It definitely sucked a lot of the romantic notions people usually have about kids. Lots of people I know had kids way too early and regretted it (even though many won't admit it). Really happy to have not fallen into that trap.

I mean, I've made mistakes, but spreading my seed was not one of them.

I don't understand how anyone has any romantic notions about kids

is this just the result of people not remembering what it was like to a kid

Being a kid vs. being with a kid are two different things though

I think for A LOT of these people it's "oh, I'm gonna produce a mini-me, someone who will love me and complete me and who I can give stupid mohawks and stupid names like Brayden to and it will make everything better."

Which is so far from the actual reality of having kids.

Shaggy haired 6 year-olds named Aiden are always tearing shit up in grocery stores while their dopey parents ignore them.
