One time my ex was cat sitting for this professor she had. The house was on an island in a river in southern Maryland and it was creepy af. the whole house was slightly tilted in one direction, just enough that the angle of the floor and the walls was constantly noticeable. the layout made no sense, like it was just built with no plan or had been added onto a bunch of times, but it was a little old place. When you came down the stairs from the second floor, you were walking into the tilt so they seemed like the steepest stairs ever. There were a lot of really weird noises at night and my ex reported finding books pulled clean off their places on shelves, sitting on the floor sometimes in the morning. When I went to visit her, I went into the bathroom one morning to find my toothbrush placed face up in the middle of the floor.


btw I find the existence of lingering shades of the deceased to be a highly unlikely concept, but like most people I am also compelled by the idea.

I dunno if it's unethical, that never occurred to me. I went to a very small, close-knit school. it was common for students and professors to have relationships of this nature.

prof was hot though. she was one of the archaeologists who took my ass to west africa when I was in school. I think I kind of amused her, but in a 'this guy is retarded' kind of way. My girlfriend was 2 years younger but this prof became her advisor and she just never mentioned that I was her boyf. At the girlfriend's graduation this professor finally found out we were together and gave me one of the best wtf faces I have ever seen. "You two... are... together?"
