Yeah, it's better to be flexible I reckon. I hope he is as easygoing about it as you are, when he is old enough to decide for himself. There are better things to get ruffled by.

what kind of accent do you have when you speak English, like more American, British, Australian, etc

the first time I visited Amsterdam I was surprised that many of the Dutch spoke English with an American accent. Sometimes so much so that I thought they were from The States.

He's not like that at all, usually. But he was drunk, that night. He'd walked right up to me at the ATM and started talking to me.

By the time we were pregnant with Linus, we were using OpenBSD at home, and he was more of a Theo de Raadt fanboy. But we decided to name our baby Linus, anyway, because of how we met.
Ahaha knew it. I didn't have the guts to ask such a personal question in person, though.

same even if my name is neither french or english.

Ah-riel in french vs Eh-Riel in english

well actually the r is pronounced much differently too but i'm bad at phonetics. I do prefer how it sounds in french though... but if asked my name in english i always pronounce it the english way.

I think a different way to phrase it would be:

Honestly, for me, this changes almost every post you've ever made. For the better.

I think the "for me" is superfluous tbh

When I was younger, everyone pronounced the first syllable of my name just like they were saying "jewel". The only people that I knew well but didn't say it like that were my cousins, who I didn't see very often. They would pronounce it like "joo", like in "Jude". When I moved school, and ever since then, everyone said it like "joo", and for a while it felt like they were making fun of my name. Apparently that's just how most people pronounce the name. I started saying it like "joo" even though I don't think it sounds as nice just so that people can understand me when I say my name.

Yeah that's bullshit, because that's actually a different name. That would irritate me, too.

A lot of people spell my married last name incorrectly, but however they misspell it, it's still the same name. Brendan and Brandon are not the same name. That would probably get to me, too.

its only annoying if you correct them and they ignore it and continue to denigrate you calling you a diff name

theyre almost always white republican men, one told me he dudnt believe in all these "college liberal names" and was doing me a favor since brandons a good, honest name.

what the hell

Over here Brendan is considered a good, honest name, and Brandon is a name you learned from watching Beverly Hills 90210 in 1991. I know quite a few Brendans and no Brandons at all.

A lot of Bradens/Braydons though...but I hadn't heard of that name either, until I moved to Australia. I thought it was a made up bogan name at first, but apparently it's not.

This is for Trotskilicious.

Vanity Fair – The True Story of Ermahgerd Girl

The original picture is actually posed... she was playing dress up with her friends and was in character as "Pervy Dale."

Quote:
Three years after first becoming an unwitting meme star, Goldenberger, who works as a nurse in Phoenix, still occasionally experiences the surreal, stupefying jolt of being ambushed by her own face online. “My eyes just get wide and I say, out loud, ‘This is so fucking weird.’ ”

“I just can't believe this is my 15 minutes of fame—I was hoping it would come in another form. But I guess you have to take what you can get.”
Quote:
Interviewer: Do you know the meme ‘Ermahgerd’? It’s one of the most popular memes on the Internet this past year.
R.L. Stine: Yes. You’re the third person to ask me about it today.
Interviewer: Will you pose for a picture with me wearing this Ermahgerd wig?
R.L. Stine: No. No, I will not. I have to say, I don’t really understand what’s funny about it.
Interviewer: I don’t know, man, it’s just ‘Ermahgerd’!
R.L. Stine: Well I’m on Twitter and about five people a day say, ‘Have you seen this?’ I just don’t get it. I don’t get it.
