So I looked up flights from fri-sun from ft lauderdale, with a car and 2 night hotel stay, on a random non-holiday weekend

it was like $480

so it seems like if we all stuff into 1 hotel room and just one of us gets a car (or SUV if there are more than 4-5 people), it's really doable. i can get just a flight for like $280 and can probably do better since we have the advance notice, and we can get a $50-75 hotel room and one car, so that's like $350 per person, max. plus gas and a couple meals.

i could probably swing this if there are 4 of us

I'd look into using megabus too, I think it might go to KC? You can get 1 dollar fares if you book months in advance. Or something like 50 bucks for longer trips probably

if i drove up to Orlando, me and hnibos and bon-sor could get a flight, room, and car for $264.36 per person for a shitty hotel or at a hilton for $287.92

that's leaving on friday coming back on sunday. this is just for some random flight in september, so just a rough estimate, but thats pretty damn good eh?

Also, note to those thinking of coming. When you do plan/google/etc, make sure it's the Kansas City that is in MISSOURI not the one in KANSAS. The KS side is more suburban sprawl; most everything worth seeing or doing is in the Missouri side of the city.
