Republicans have been telling whites for the past 4 decades that the government, liberals, the media, the UN, blacks, Mexicans, Muslims, etc are against them.

From conservatives there is a long-standing history of claiming victimhood. Its why Trump's campaign slogan is "Make America Great Again".

It's called the Southern Strategy, and it was designed by the Nixon administration to vilify African Americans as violent drug dealers and opponents of Republican rule as radical feminists/communist/gay freaks.

It looks like he's going to win all the liberal states he's expected to win and he's done better than I think anyone thought he could, but he just lost too hard in the Old South

Annoying that it's mostly the states the democrats won't win anyway voting so overwhelmingly for Hillary

I've gotten excited a few times and kind of thought maybe he could pull a presidency out of his hat, but yeah, Sanders can't win. Technically he still could but by the math it doesn't seem possible when you look at demographics. At this point if he beat Clinton it would be just about the biggest nomination upset ever and would require a massive and instant shift in the way huge blocks of people have been voting.

She had this exaggerated stereotypically sounding black guy doing the voice over with all of these images of Clinton talking to poor looking African American women. It was so corny. I can't believe the black communities eat that shit up with a spoon.

I wonder how Poots, feeling that systemic racism isn't that bad a problem nowadays, feels about the experiment by Bodenhausen, in which participants were asked to assess the guilt of a man charged with criminal assault, and given bits of circumstantial evidence, some of which supported an innocent verdict, some of which supported a guilty verdict. The study found that participants who were told that the accused's name was "Carlos Ramirez" of New Mexico recalled a higher percentage of condemning evidence than those who were told the accused's name was "Robert Johnson" of Ohio, and were more likely to recommend a guilty verdict. Clearly, the reason for this is minorities not being told racism is over.

I wonder how Poots, being wise enough to know that law enforcement being biased against blacks is a "false narrative," feels about the study by Correl et al. (2002), in which participants were shown images of people holding objects, some of them white, and some of them black. The participants were tasked with quickly judging if the person on the screen was armed or not, and pressing "shoot" or "don't shoot" buttons under a time restriction. The researchers found that participants were faster to correctly determine that a black target was armed than a white target, and slower to correctly judge that a black target was armed than a white target (in other words, black targets were more likely to get false positives for being armed). Participants were much more likely to erroneously press "shoot" for black targets than white targets, and to erroneously press "don't shoot" for white targets than black targets. Perhaps this is the consequence of complaining too much about racism.

How about a study conducted by Patricia Devine at the University of Wisconsin, in which she used a subliminal priming procedure to activate the schema of blacks in white participants by flashing words associated with them (such as "Negroes" and "blues") for durations too short for participants to even know they were presented with a word, though they subconsciously perceived them. Participants were then given a written description of a man whose actions were ambiguous with respect to hostility. Participants who underwent the priming procedure were more likely to interpret the man's actions as hostile than those in a control group. Maybe this is evidence that black people's disadvantage is due to being told that racism is a problem?

Dovidio and Gaertner's (2000) experiment asked participants to choose between applicants for a job. When one applicant was clearly more qualified than the other, the more qualified applicant was chosen, regardless of race. But when the qualifications were ambiguous, participants chose the white applicant 77% of the time, and the black applicant 40% of the time. Maybe Poots is on to something when he thinks that blacks have lower-status employment on average because they just don't try.

Instead of working to once again say how everything is racist, how about offering some concrete solutions for change? When Hillary met with BLM she asked them what their agenda was, what did they want, and they had nothing. It seems the point now is just complaining.

Go to the black lives matter website and try to find what they are trying to accomplish. It's endlessly highlighting the problem instead of working towards real solutions. When pressed, BLM said they wanted to decrease police presence in black neighborhoods. That sounds like a winning plan.

It's an awareness group, it's in the name. Black Lives Matter.

It is the job of policy makers to find solutions to these problems Black Lives Matter does its job by keeping them in the public's mind

That's not even remotely true. If he continues to win 79% of the vote in states like Idaho and Utah, he will have many paths to victory, and won't even necessarily need NY. Hildawg won the deep South with an average of 76% of the vote including TX. Even a small win in CA would be huge
