What exactly do you get out of belittling other people's sexual interests as long as they explore them only with consenting adults? I genuinely would like an answer.

not a horrible monster Eulogy, and though I'm not into anal I don't care about that. but yeah watching porn is a pretty basic and vulgar thing to do with your life. There are plenty of other things like that we all do, so I don't judge you for that either. but at least sex connects you to another human. masturbating in front of porn is just total sense gratification. Like a dog fucking a pillow.

It's like smoking - for a long time people argued that if people didn't like it, they could go elsewhere. But actually it was so ubiquitous that nobody was really able to do that. Banning smoking from public areas and cafes/bars etc., is largely seen as a positive thing now. I think asking society at large to keep porn out of the reach of children, is pretty reasonable.
You can't keep anything out of the reach of children. Not alcohol, not drugs, not porn.

And I don't really feel like you should be policing my life based on your inability to talk to your own children.

Porn has been shown in various studies to be addictive, and that if kids watch it from a young age, it changes their brain development.

You're in the same camp as people who think 8 year olds should be able to buy alcohol and cigarettes, basically.

Crazy thought here - If you don't want your boys to fuck a girl in the butt against her will or using coercion, you don't have to teach them the gory details of whats in all porn and why it's bad, you just have to teach them that its not okay to coerce people into performing sex acts against their will or raping them, which i hope you would be doing anyway.

porn doesn't make kids assault other kids. kids hurt other kids because they either don't think it's wrong or because they don't think they'll get caught. that's not the fault of the porn industry

I don't plan to.

But the former Mr & Mrs Jones, who have split up and are trying to buy their children's love and ameliorate their own feelings of guilt, unfortunately have given smartphones to their kids.

And the local high school has a Bring Your Own Device policy, and allows device use at lunchtime.

So it's not just about me.

Yeah and here's another crazy though...maybe the girl is asking for it because she saw it herself and thinks it's how to make him like her more. And maybe being a teenager, he wants to please her and doesn't want to look like a sissy in front of her, so he goes ahead with it, and then both of them have to remember that time that he dogged her and injured her rectum.

Wouldn't it just be easier to give kids a bit more time to live without the idea of dogging to contend with, in their adolescent brains.

God, why is everyone talking about parents giving their children sex education? The main responsibility should be given to the schools, it's what they're there for, to educate. The education can be standardised (of course this is how we get abstinence only education, but that needs quashing too), so everyone is getting the same message instead of filtered through the vast varieties of moral values that different parents have, and it can save the feelers of those poor parents who feel to awkward to have a frank conversation with their children about how they were made.

maybe the topic you tried to raise is an actual issue, maybe not. but if in this thread you just continue to just be a piece of shit human being, then discussion will shift to the fact that you are fucking terrible and get off topic. just a tip.

So we don't think that having a porn addiction is harmful enough to a person, that we should place restrictions around the minimum age someone can have access to it, like alcohol and tobacco?

And if you really think that masturbation is vulgar then you are definitely sex negative. GOD DAMN PEOPLE I DONT KNOW MAKING THEMSELVES FEEL GOOD IN A WAY THAT DOESNT IMPACT ME AT ALL.

Porn industry definitely has its faults for sure but i would also like to point out that there are plenty of things on non-pornographic websites that are equally if not more harmful to your kids, like redpillers or gore videos or the social agenda of imgur

Oh right so guys who undo their pants and rub their genitals while watching videos of people they have never met engage in sexual acts until they cum all over themselves are all good, but someone who thinks that doing that is basic and vulgar is "fucking terrible".

Sure. You keep dreamin', little buddy.

Oh and obviously children having smartphones and near unlimited access to internet capable devices is bad, and is a massive cause for all of this, but it's useless to just accept that that's how things are.

I'm not anti masturbation.

How about...people who get upset about the idea of restricting porn to 18+ verified users are sex negative

And people who think masturbating to porn is gross but regularly connect sexually in a loving and monogamous relationship are actually pretty sex positive.

Given that you know, they have actual sex quite a lot. Enough that they don't have to meet their needs with masturbating and porn.

porn is not additive. sex is not addictive. If you talk to a psychiatrist they don't put porn or sex into the "addiction" category like alcohol, nicotine, opiats, etc.

people who consume porn (or engage in sex) to the point where it negativley impacts their lives are now treated by mental health professionals the way that they treat people with OCD. It's not an addiction it's a form of obsessive compulsive behavior.

You're not sex positive if you only approve of your own sex life and others like it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pornography_addiction

Jury's out...but the fact is that readily available porn is problematic for adolescents the same way that readily available alcohol, tobacco, and gambling is problematic.

We have placed restrictions on everything else - why not porn?
