that pizza looks great luke but do you like it so pale?
i definitely prefer mine crusty and golden. also the broiler method is something i haven't heard of, i just give it around 5-7 mins in an oven that's on full tilt for at least an hour

i wouldn't say this is a particularly great pizza, it happens to be the only photo i have at the moment
there's probably jambon underneath the cheese. i always throw some mushrooms on there, goes great with the onion
it's kinda weird that i didn't on this one

i don't like a crackly, strong crust – the perfect crust for me is pliant and bready but with leopard-spotted charring and a thin layer of crispiness

sadly the only way to achieve that is with a very hot oven (>400º) and mine doesn't get anywhere close. so i have to settle for paler pizzas that hit similar textural notes but don't have the crispness on top or the added visual appeal

i know my baking stone and oven well enough at this point to reliably achieve a pretty good amount of char on the base without overdoing the toppings, thankfully, so the flavour profile is still in the right ballpark

My friend brought her boys over a couple of days ago, and we made pizzas for lunch...just a standard white dough recipe, but I put this bread improver stuff in it, and it came out really well - it's mostly soy flour I think, with a few raising agents maybe?

It made me think of this thread. My friend and I tried wilting rocket & baby spinach on the top of ours and it was delicious.

This photo was taken using my new xperia Z3 compact, btw. I'm disappointed with the colour balance, a bit blue-y...

I want to learn to make good pizza

Whenever I eat shitty pizza I end up wanting to basically die for 24 hours afterward. And there aren't many convenient places to go for actual good pizza near me.

But I really like pizza. Halp.

Yeah the dough is the trickiest bit...making it is actually really easy...it's baking it that's the hard part. I don't have a stone either FWIW - my pizza isn't the best, doesn't come out as nice as LDS's. But it's still nicer than most store bought stuff.

Don't put too much stuff on top or the dough stays raw in the middle but gets all hard and crunchy around the edge.

Googled "What is the Plural of Pizza." Looks too complicated. Still need to know if the mini pizzas are deep fried. The U.S.A. needs to know its junk food crown is safe.
