i love curled up peperoni! creates a lovely little grease pocket! crispy peperoni on top of cheese is better than raw underneath in my opinion, but i enjoy both.
and yes, curling is a great sport. i played for a couple years with all my retired school teachers and dentist before moving back to halifax. |

I start with warm water and fast yeast. A squirt of honey and some salt. Then I add bread flour until I get the right texture and consistency. Wetter than you'd expect. I let it rise. Then I roll/stretch the dough out until it's a pizza. Tinned tomatoes as sauce and fresh mozerella. Fresh basil out of the oven in the summer and dried otherwise. In the oven until it's done as hot as the oven goes.

I would think it needs to induce a liveblogging worthy elimination - that probably means fresh chilli, and a lot of fibre and grease. caramelised onion, candied bacon, etc

We get Dr Oetker here now too. I buy them when they're half price and keep them in the freezer for nights when I can't be bothered cooking. the spinach one is ok, and so is the pepperoni. but that chicken and mushroom one is pretty bland. They're the best frozen pizza at the supermarket, I'll tell you that much for free.

these are the two i usually get.
OMG! dr. oetker twins! DR OETEKERR TWINZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!! i don't eat pizza very often though. it's also a lazy solution for me, but a rare one. i'm not a big fan of pizza. and there are plenty of other options when i don't want to cook. right now, there are no frozen pizzas in my freezer, for example. |

my recipe is
1 kg italian flour, either 00 caputo or privetti i think it's called around 60 percent hydration 2-3 grams of yeast olive oil and salt really long kneading process and 3-4 days in the fridge for the sauce i either grate fresh tomatoes with some olive oil, salt and a crushed garlic clove, or sautee a little bit of onion and garlic for a tomato puree based sauce Last edited by teh b0lly!!1 : 04-01-2015 at 11:07 AM. |
