Personally i don't feel threatened. I'm just sick of the fucking geeks who are all about this. Women in skimpy clothes or very tight ouftits doing karate kicks and shooting guns. Generally too let's mention played by actually fairly frail or at least certainly not even fit girls who can barely deliver their supposely badass lines with credible conviction (nevermind the kicks). Because we wouldnt want them to look TOO threatening either with like muscles and stuff.... They're written by nerds for nerds. Games are especially FULL of them.

To be clear i don't mind girls into mma, boxing, hockey, whatever. Good for them. I mind the way "kickass" girls are written and portrayed in (most) fiction nowadays. They're barely actual women because written by guys who don't even know what actual women are like. It's just their stupid sexual fantasies. Modern comics are also full of them. Sure comics were always pretty bad for this but they use to be written by fairly intelligent people, now it's just horny nerds writing for other horny nerds (mind you this shit started a while back).

If you do consume both in fair amount and don't think there isn't anything wrong with the portrayal of women in these, i'm sorry to say you're part of the problem. You've even admitted to not watching the superhero movies stuff. My impression is that you actually don't seem to have much of an accurate idea how women are portrayed in male targeted fiction. If other guys don't speak out against the way women are portrayed in things that are mainly consumed by them, not much is going to change.

it seems like the or at least one of the main problems you're having here is accepting the fact that most men may be able to accept the fact that there are multiple types of women and then fictional "fan service" creations that pretty much don't exist in the real world anyway, and that these creations are somehow hurting women as a whole because the guys who see this shit somehow leave the theater expecting to see every woman dawned in some kinda half-bra-half-shirt with panties thing bein ultimately fantasy vehicles who are just post-poning the moment when they can fulfill whoever's sexual fantasies or whatever the fuck

it's like walking in on a chippendale & being pissed because now you think you're stereotyped as a spandex-wearing, well-built piece of eye candy
