I don't think seeing a shrink a couple times a year is a bad thing. But I'd want someone I really trusted, just like one hopefully trusts their main care provider. I think some shrinks find pathology in everything and I wouldn't want sessions to get extended when it isn't necessary, or things brought up and analyzed in a way that makes the child distressed.

Yep this would be my concern as well.

I would also worry that a parent might be unwilling to accept a clean bill of health and shop around until they find a shrink who would fulfill their expectations.

The faucet is leaking in the bathtub. It filsl a whole bath in about four days. I feel awful about it but don't want to call the landlady and have to let people into my apartment to fix it...its been going on for months. I shut off the breaker for the hot water though (it is the hot water faucet) ad only turn it back on about 3 horus before i know ill want to take a shower so at least i dont waste electricity too. I wish i wasn't so weird about having people in here. Once, the plumber was even in my apartment because to shut water off to the whole building they have to do it through the floor in my apt, and i didn't even mention it to him! I'm sure it would take like minutes to fix. WTF IS WRONG WITH ME?
