I don't get it though, pretty sure they have ice fall warning signs everywhere there's a freezing winter.

I consider the teens balmy at this point. Why do people live here

I've only had to shovel my car out once so I really shouldn't complain. Bleh.

Don't think it has hit 20 here since last Tuesday. Currently snowing and 4, which is a warmup compared to last night. Thursday looks to be -5.

I love winter. Just not the worry of frozen pipes.

Do you really have to worry about them if you're heating your house? Our basement is still pretty dang warm. All the pipes going in and out of the house are below the frost line.

I don't mind the cold. It doesn't feel too different past freezing. The problem is wind. It takes all the warmth out of me.

We have one sink on an exterior wall that likes to try to freeze when it's below 15. The plumber pushed all the insulation aside when he rain the line there and it isn't worth the cost to rip it out to fix. So we just let it drip.

oh has hell frozen over yet? Good that means a lot of really fucked up, unlikely or unusual shit is about to happen.

I had some money on this happening way before flying pigs.

Has there yet been a week with four thursdays? Cause people say that in french, it goes "yeah in the week of four thursdays" . It's like hell freezing over and pigs flying. I keep hoping maybe some week there will be four thursdays.

We're going downtown for a show tonight too. Wanted to take public transportation but I think this justifies the cab expense.

I hadn't ween this until now.

The truth is i've never been in any other province except ontario. I've been in way more US states then i've been in canadian provinces. The again Canada's provinces are like ten to twenty times the size of a state... I've never been further west than Toronto in canada and further east than the easternmost part of Quebec (a maritime region called Gaspesie)

In Quebec if you go to montreal you won't have problems getting around in english. I'm not sure about Quebec city but they get so much tourism i suppose it must kinda be alright. Quebec city being the oldest city in north america, it is pretty much a requisite stop i suppose for any canadian bound tourism. But like any touristy place, it's also trappy... Honestly i find going to canada for tourism to be a really depressing idea.

I suppose except the rockies, like around Banff and stuff maybe. I've never been but it seems like it might be worthwhile. Most of canada is cold and charmless in my mind.
