I may have said this but i did "play" (not much of a game) Second life around the time she had started and at some point because we still communicated a few times a year then (2007 or so) she said i think you'd like this an i'm like yeah i'm on it and so i did meet her in "game" and but that's when i realised she had a store set up and everything and i was like...ya you're into this shit a lot more than i am... i quit shortly after anyway. I wonder if she's STILL on it.

I think SL was an interesting idea with lots of potential poorly executed. It's still around i know but who still cares? It's probably the closet this world has come yet to STephenson/Gibson type of virtual world and that's saying a lot...because clearly it's so disappointing in comparison. Turns out what most people DO want to do in virtual land is fuck each other.... There were parts of the world dedicated to pedophilia... like in it you'd get adults players playing children avatars having sexual relationships with adults...it pretty much blew my fucking mind and not in a good way.
