abusive manipulating and controlling isn't an offense punishable by death.

I know i'm probably sounding like an apologist to some but i've got some background to say things like this. (and no i'm not myself abusive manipulating and controlling). I guess zero compassion always bugs me. Well..almost always..there are some cases in life where i found it hard to show any myself. As is proven by the inescapable fact that i've said things like that so and so should really kill themselves before....(though really usually if i suggest suicide its probably kind of a compassionate suggestion...)

In this scenario anyway it is my belief what we have is two awful people that only deserved one another. As is too often the case. Only that kind of pairing can end in a disaster of such epic proportions. I dont really think t this point Pajo ever intended to kill himself, like others i think he just wanted an occasion to "out" his wife without coming across like an asshole (because you know, oh he's gonna kill himself so clearly he's not really doing this because he wants to..i mean how he repeats he still loves her...no you don't). Clearly that has failed. I still beleive though that he DOES clearly have some issues i hope he gets helps for and that he is still a redeemable human being. If he cares to be.

And that's not because i like any band he's ever been in (i don't)

That's pretty judgmental, isn't it?

Yes, I am judging him based on my perception of the letter he blasted out to all corners of the Internet.

I am glad he's alive and I hope he gets the help he needs.

We don't know what his private life is and was like. He easily could have been abused as badly by her at home. I was in a relationship with a woman like that. I thought she was the greatest person in the world. It took walking in on her fucking someone else, in our bed, and a year and a half of depression, thoughts of suicide, and recovery to realize how badly I had been manipulated and emotionally abused by her. I can't say that I agree with posting that letter in public, but I can understand maybe why he did.

It is too easy to read that and think 'he's a piece of shit for this and this.'

so the possibility that she *may* have been abusive at some point gives him the right to be abusive back, according to you

this is the mentality behind toxic relationships, i hope you realize that. stop condoning that kind of shit

I'm not saying she was, and I'm not saying he was right to retaliate. What I am saying it is too easy to look from the outside and say 'he/she was a monster' and judge them based on something we know nothing about.

People in toxic relationships aren't always aware they are toxic, and you can't expect them to always foresight to acknowledge it and react to it how you expect them to.

This isn't about him being mad and upset about being treated poorly. It's his textbook abuser language and behavior.

He glosses over the physical abuse but it wouldn't shock me to find out he's downplaying it.

i honestly wouldnt be surprised if his physical abuse (even if just one time) was the deciding factor for his wife to leave him. one time is enough

I understand the sentiment until he admits to hitting her, that's a complete game changer and makes everything suspect

Would you come off it already. We get it. A woman hurt you. Not terribly relevant here.

This is the real world but some comments I've read seem to express a great deal of shock that Pajo might slap his wife for admitting she was out comitting repeated adultery with some cuckold-maker. While he shouldn't have done it, I think it was a natural reaction and not undeserved. I think anyone who commits adultery deserves a good slap in the face, at the very least.
Only for posterity

I'm not even coming from that point of view. It is just terribly naïve for everyone to look at this so unobjectively.

We know A happened. Therefore he must be D. Doesn't matter what happens to B or C.

But it's obvious that your brush is very, very broad.

No dude.

It's in his words. I'm not talking about what happened. I'm talking about his responses to what happened. I'm not saying "he must be D" I'm saying "D is right there in his own words."
