I think it started as a British thing. Like say you found train-spotting to be a pathetic or geeky hobby you'd call it "sad" or call the people who do it "sad" or a "saddo"

the first 15 minutes of that movie blew and so i shut it off. i go ahead and say that movie blows, though.

the best part of trainspotting is the cinematography. from what i remember it was quite nice to look at. i feel like really abusing certain camera lenses really didn't become a thing until late 2000s, in the sense you could usually tell if it was going to be a good movie because of the color-specific lenses that gives the movie a specific tonal palette.

i guess that's the one thing i care about in movies, is the camera work. acting and script are all secondary and tertiary to that.

its funny, the one 90s movie that really sticks out as doing this is the mod squad. i couldn't tell you what its about but i could recall and describe still shots from it in detail. has that filter that brings out the greens at night and browns during day. uncommon back then.

I'm definitely an introvert. I converse a lot more online than in person because it takes a lot less out of me and I feel more comfortable being alone and being able to revise my thoughts. I do like people and I am friendly in person but I don't like being around more than 2-3 people max and I generally don't talk about myself to people I don't know really well.

Beat me to it there. I don't identify as an extrovert either. I have more people come over than go out, but when I do go out I get quiet after a half hour or so of talking and need to be alone for a while after longer social events. I like people but I definitely cannot be around anyone but my husband for too long without getting exhausted.

I'm not really a shut in, but I don't have a car at the moment or much money so I've had to be home a lot more.

you crazy, it's too cold there. florida has spoiled me. i honestly would have a hard time leaving for a lot of reasons but the weather is def a big part of it. i may have to leave for grad school though
