Smashing Pumpkins to perform Maida Vale live session on BBC 6 Music this week

The Smashing Pumpkins have announced a special live concert taking place later this week at BBC's famous Maida Vale studios.

The event will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 6 Music from 12pm to 1pm on Friday (December 5), hosted by ****** Laverne. For the performance, Billy Corgan will be joined by Rage Against The Machine's Brad Wilk on drums and The Killers' Mark Stoermer on bass.

Also, it's actually nice to hear Billy put some effort into the singing part of the live show. These songs sound infinitely better live. They just need a pianist to join the live circus. Someone call Jonathan Melvoin.

I have to say...first I was intrigued when I read about Brad Wilk joining SP for this short tour but
it's just not a good fit. He doesn't play any annoying fills but his playing is just too 2-dimensional.
Also it's not tight enough at times...not a good rhythm section...
