Watching Freaks and Geeks was strange. The time frame was close to my years in high school. and they did a good job of depicting what it was like in suburban Michigan at the time. Also, I went to school with guys who looked exactly like the Geeks on that show.

I'll bring up one up from the archive and say The Knight Stalker.

If you're into Twilight Zone and X-Files you have to see the one and only season from this.

freaks and geeks. anyone who answers this is probably functionally retarded. yes, there are actors in this that became famous and went on to star in films that you admittedly don't even like. standing on its own its single season was horribly acted, had no cohesive narrative, and went nowhere.

I had totally forgotten about Andy Richter. I watched that almost religiously when it was on.

I'm a pretty big space ghost fan (enough to be the guy that fairly regularly quote it in my everyday life which just annoys everyone) but never liked Brak even when he was on SG.

Here's one of the top three episodes just cause, this is when aqua team was created too:

If we're gonna say Stella, let's add The State to that list. Kinda annoyed that Reno 911 is the one thing that troupe did that had any longevity.

Freaks and Geeks was fantastic.

Another one (though they technically brought it back): Arrested Development.

yeah, my drunken rant was over the top. i've never heard anything but everyone gush over this show that has seen it. i guess if i find something mediocre that is universally praised it makes me almost despise it irrationally.

another example would be orphan black. i watched the first couple episodes back when they aired and thought it was pretty mediocre and decided to not invest my time in. coworkers wouldn't shut up about how awesome it was during the second half of season 2 so i watched the rest of it and what i originally thought was mediocre i began to hate with a passion.

three of my favourite shows are the wire, sopranos, and breaking bad, so i most definitely don't have an issue with universal praise.

I liked Undeclared a lot more than Freaks and Geeks. Freaks and Geeks was ok though.
