As little as 12 years ago it's on record that the NBA rigged the Championship... They even rigged the finals for fucks sake! http://www.ibtimes.com/nba-rigged-ex...aptors-1575437 Sorry Trotsky, I think an ACTUAL NBA official knows more about the game than you do ![]() |

"“What they do is they actually send in a representative from the league office to sit down with the referees at an 11 o’clock meeting in the morning where they go over game film,” Donaghy continued. “They will show the referees what they want called, what they want them to concentrate on, what they feel needs to be called or let go in a series to avoid any problems.”
“As a referee, you get paid an enormous amount of money as (you) advance in rounds,” he added. “You’re being graded in every way you’re officiated. And you’re going to be graded on what they want you to call. So if they say ‘Kyle Lowry is hand-checking Deron Williams and we need that called’, you’re certainly going to call it. If you let something go, you’re going to be dinged with a missed call.” NBA's just a minor step up from the WWF. |

Yes there is a certain amount referee's let go and certain things in a game they will call every time and this can vary from game to game. This is true in any sport.
And it usually balances out. If Kyle Lowry has been seen to consistently be getting away with what the league officers consider hand checking, they're going to tell the refs to call it |

Also did you read the part where the guy was kicked out of the NBA for fixing games and maybe think that's why he's saying what he's saying despite having no evidence

the fact is that a conspiracy of that magnitude that implicates everyone including the players is impossible to pull off

Nah man. With officiating in the NBA and even the NFL you can really call a foul on pretty much anything. Like in Football pretty much anything could be portrayed as "pass interference". I've seen it been called when there was not even an iota of contact.

That's kind of true, and a lot of contact is let go in the interest of not bogging the games down with flags but it almost always evens out for both sides in the end.
Like in baseball the strikezones are different depending on the official but as long as they stay consistent then it's fine. |

"Tim gave information on how top executives of the NBA sought to manipulate games using referees to boost ticket sales and television ratings,” lawyer John Lauro wrote in a letter to Brooklyn federal Judge Carol Bagley Amon, detailing how his client has cooperated with feds since being busted last year. "“Tim explained that league officials would tell referees that they should withhold calling technical fouls on certain star players because doing so hurt ticket sales and television ratings,” Lauro wrote. "
" Donaghy’s allegations of referee misconduct does not name specific teams, but clearly points to the 2005 Western Conference playoffs between the Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets. Dallas lost the first two games while accusing Yao Ming, Houston’s star center, of committing illegal screens. By Game 3, refs started calling more fouls against Yao, limiting his game time. Dallas went on to win the series 4-3. A referee allegedly told then-Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy that officials were instructed to crack down on Yao. Van Gundy was fined $100,000 for going public with the alleged conversation. " |

If the NBA powers that be order the refs to crack down on a teams star player than that's a huge advantage and can screw even the best of teams. Thats what Donaghy was saying about the Lowrie thing.

I dunno if you remember, but there was a TON of controversy at the time about the officiating in game 6 of the 2002 playoffs. The officials were CLEARLY favoring the Lakers. And then Donaghy, the ref FOR THE GAME comes out years later and admits it was rigged by the league...
What is there to dispute? The shits fixed. |

I've been destroying the NBA all season long. I'd willingly show you how I can spot the fixes, but you closed my thread.
