Outside of Carey Price the Habs are painfully average. Their offense is terribad. They must've had 3-4 odd man rushes against the Lightning that didn't even result in a shot.

Can't spin this any other way. Nashville is exactly the same way. A 1% difference in save percentage is absolutely gargantuan. Look at Minnesota since the break - gets Dubnyk, suddenly right up there with Nashville, St. Louis, and Chicago in what's already been established as the most dominant division in hockey by an order of magnitude based on goal differentials

Last year the Wings were out in the first round. This year I think they have a good chance to do well in the playoffs. as good a chance as they've had since they lost the cup to Pittsburg in 09. The next month is really all that matters. Teams that surge going into the playoffs are the ones that have the advantage. A couple of years ago the Wings Led the conference in February and ended up barely limping into the playoffs.

The only thing I worry about with the Wings making a strong playoff run is that I won't seen anyone from Detroit sent down to play in Grand Rapids for the playoffs. Two years ago they sent 3 players to Grand Rapids after getting knocked out in the Semis. Their AHL affiliate is leading the League right now and has a good shot at winning the Calder Cup again. That's potentially 16 home playoff games only 4 miles from my house.

If the Penquins lose their last two games they might not make the playoffs. There's only one point between their current wildcard status and no more hockey till next year. The only upside for them is they have to play Buffalo (bottom of the conference) and the Islanders (who've also only won 3 of their last 10 games).
