Great value. He's getting to that spot in his career when goalies get really good. He's maturing, and I think he'll be cool as a cucumber in the big games. He's definitely one of the best in the league and they kept him for cheap. If they lost him they'd be worse off imo but I'm a huge Fleury fanboy.

My beloved Bolts are playing great hockey. It feels like 2004 all over again.

went to oilers/rangers at MSG on sunday. it was pretty much the worst game i could have attended all year. the only really highlight is being able to witness this save.

we listened to the rangers beat the penguins 5-0 on the drive home. i would have stayed and watched the game which would have been awesome, but my travel partner had to get back to work today.

They certainly looked it last night. Pens were due for a let down but still. Wow.

they've been totally dr. jeckyl and mr. hyde this year. they were completely lifeless and their top line was 100% invisible for the entire game against the oilers.

now im getting worried because if the habs keep it up they're not gonna have a chance at the cup. I mean, the top team winning the cup? Rare. So they should slack off so down the line they can finish 3rd or 4th.

Hey Mooney, on a serious note, how has MSL looked this year? Admittedly, painful for me to watch enough of the Rangers to get a sense. For what it's worth, Strålman has been a beast and Cally has been really solid. It's going to be weird when you guys come to Tampa later this month.

slow start goal scoring wise but was setting up nash for some goals early on. seems like he's heating up, with four or five goals in last seven or eight games i think.

Thanks for the update. I have to force myself to forget he's still in the league until he retires.

The division/conference imbalance is so unbelievably large, I can't recall seeing such a discrepancy in a professional sports league

Since the NHL went back to the east and west playing each other twice, the Sharks are 0-4 against Buffalo. nice. there's always some messed up situation in Buffalo went they visit there too. its odd.

west vs east. particularly the western central being unbelievably stacked

also, any of you chaps familiar with NHL Game Center and price drops as the season progresses? They're still asking $160 for 60 games and I find this morally reprehensible

I don't think it does. Could be wrong. But I mean... You technically get a lot more than 60 games.

I'm late by a few hours but just learned that Canadiens legend Jean Beliveau just died. Obviously i'm way too young to have seen him play but i feel like i have what with all the constant mentions and footage of his plays on french canadian tv growing up. He was the second player after Howe to reach a 1000 career points.

last year in the nba, the suns finished 9th and the timberwolves finished 10th in the west and would have been 3rd and 4th seeds in the eastern conference

this year it's projecting to be even more laughably imbalanced. east may have 3 losing teams in the playoffs. Silver is talking about realignment to fix this

hmm, I knew the teams were heavily lopsided, didn't know the divisions were as well

This Timeberwolves rep keeps calling me about floor seats because I went to a game in the nosebleeds. I'm like nah bro
