Pretty sure the situation was fixed for Jeters last home game. I tuned into the highlights progam after and everyone was calling Jeters walk-off base-hit magical and sighting it as a reason as to why baseball is so amazing.
Sorta reminded me of when Adam Wainwright served up Jeter a total meat-ball in the all-star game to create a sensational moment amongst the fans after Jetrer ripped it for a double. It's only too bad Wainright let it slip in an interview an hour later that he was just "showing respect to Jeter" by throwing him such a softball. |

I didn't hear anything about a Witch getting sacrificed though, so I remain skeptical. |

TOC, you've been one of my favorite posters over the years on this site. You've been one of the few who haven't jumped ship in order to join the popular masses.
But really, the Orioles have already clinched the division. They have nothing to play for. They're playing a highly publicized game in New York for Jeters last game. It's likely just a game that they'd give to em for the sensationalism of the moment... Afterall, It's "good for baseball". |
