Man, 9/11 Conspiracy Theory stuff is just the weirdest. One thread like this, one YouTube video watched, and then I find myself clicking around forever. Feelings oscillate between "that's [literally] insane" and "whoa, that's nuts." And when you're done reading, you dunno what's up or down.

Really, though - big picture thoughts:

-The fact that the passport of the mastermind of the plot happened to flutter from the sky, be picked up amidst the rubble and chaos and handed to a police officer at the site is just downright weird.

-Somehow, those pilots with their limited training really, really lucked out by hitting 3/4 of their target spot on. Will always wonder what that 4th one was headed for. Can you imagine how brutal it would have been had it hit the white house or the Capitol or something?

-If the whole thing really was/is a conspiracy theory, then ultimately, somebody would have had to land those planes and execute all those people/crash the plane/unload the people at gunpoint and load them onto another plane/SOMETHING - and that just seems too farfetched for me to ever stomach.

-Ultimately, though, the number of people that would have had to be involved for this to be a true government plot would be in the thousands. How do you keep that many people quiet? You don't. There would at least be one person who would sell out and be all "yeah, yeah... I wore the elevator repair disguise and loaded thermite all up and down them buildings".

In the UK there are people who claim '7/7' (you know, suicide bombers blowing people us on the subway and a bus in 2005) was staged. Most say it was the Government covering up a power surge and blaming it on Muslims... They say the bus survivors were all actors. It's a lot more ridiculous than the 9/11 conspiracies. They used to be led by ex-MI5 spy, David Shayler (last I heard he was dressing like a woman and claiming to be Jesus).

I fail to see how hitting massive buildings would be that difficult. Takeoff and landing require skills, but when the jet is in the air, it's a matter of locating the target visually and keeping the nose pointed in the right direction. Anyone with some Microsoft Flight Simulator time could do it. Rudder, elevator, ailerons, and throttle...not that difficult.

The "no-planers" are the best. Yeah, all the live footage added the planes, or they were missiles disguised with holograms. That's so much more likely than the official version...

And what happened to the planes that went missing that day, with all those people on board? Or did that not happen but rather they weren't actual people and the thousands of people who knew them, grieved for them, etc. were all in on the conspiracy?
