Woodstock 99 was a total clusterfuck disaster but that Limp Bizkit performance was awesome. They embodied the dream of every kid who plugs into their practice-amp dreaming of making it big. They were just 5 guys going up on stage with their band and elicited a response so powerful with everyone into it . It's pretty damn cool.

Of course there was cases of assaults when this was going down and everything which sucks. But that was a landmark performance. I haven't seen anything as intense from anyone since.

Yeah the show was a clusterfuck but Limp Bizkit absolutely killed it. Yeah maybe they were irresponsible and got the crowd rowdy but fuck. They were the biggest band in the world at that time and they played a show of their lives. The band just killed it.

Love it or hate it, it's rock and roll. The band generated a powerful response just by playing their instruments. That has to be appreciated.

I actually was a fan of Limp Bizkits first 2 albums though. I was totally into it, so the performance probably elicits a different nostalgic emotion for me than it does for you guys.

who cares man? It's just music. It's not like I still actively listen to these guys anymore or anything. I was 13 when this shit was huge.

With that said, I still respect the Woodstock 99 performance.

fuzzyroses, the disaster was encouraged by limp bizkit. a woman was raped during their performance, because it's rape music. it was like altamont if mick jagger was on stage going "fuck yeah! kill some mother fuckers! awesome! this next song is about how much i hate women..."

what the fuck is wrong with you

Yeah man, it was definitely a total cluster fuck but they tore the roof off of the place. It wasn't as if he was telling anyone to go rape someone. If people are fucked up enough to do shit like that then that's their fault... Not the bands.

that's what his music is about

maybe not literally but it's definitely about as misogynistic white man victim shit as nickelback

like i said before, what you say matters. what you sing about matters. what you like, it fucking matters.

No it isn't. Limp Bizkits earlier stuff is mostly just a take off of the Suicidal Tendencies type of lyricism. I mean, I'm not still actively listening to any of their music... But I don't think that Limp Bizkit deserves the type of shit that they get... As if they're on the same level as Nickelback or Creed or shit bands like those.

Yeah cause everyones just trying to fit in with the "Netphorian code"... And what you end up getting is new posters like Elphy just desperately trying to fit in with all of the Vets such as yourself.

Netphorias awesome with a ton of good writers, but outside of these people, theres a ton of posters who try to cozy on up to their coattails without expressing any of their honest views.

I remember RBG talking about this in the past. Theres a definite sort of click around these parts.

Of all the shit Limp Bizkits released and done, Their peformance at Woodstock remains one of their most notable moments. It was a crazy set... For better or worse, it's still rock and roll and deserves to be seen.

those are just 2 bands among 1000's that I've enjoyed over the years. While I don't like LB anymore, I still really like NOFX. Despite your beliefs, a person liking 1 band doesn't really say anything regarding their musical tastes.
