tomorrow is the last day of my tour guide training at work (and on my day off). we're to give a tour of a room we pick out of hat. that means i have to study for each room.

this is something i elected to do and i really want to quit. i had to give an interpretation of an object of my choosing and my legs were shaking uncontrollably the whole time. i kept thinking everyone could tell i was nervous and that made me more nervous.

i'm trying to psyche myself up to be the way i am in normal conversation and act the way i'd like to. i gesticulate a lot. but when i speak in public i cross my legs, rub my arms, and shift around.

i can't quit, though, because i work there. and i don't want that reputation. and i guess the more i don't want to do something, the more i think i need to. (thanks, cbt )

oh. and rahm emanual will be there tomorrow for a ribbon cutting ceremony. god, he is such a ham. i am going to flip him off if i see him. can i get arrested for that?

it sounds trite, but he doesn't listen (or maybe he does, but doesn't care) to the voice of the people. he's all about money. and using campaign funds to fund his trips and foie gras. he recently paid the city back $14,000 when it was discovered and he got blasted for it. otherwise, i doubt he would have done a damn thing. i am sure that's not all he owes.

my job is pissing me off since they fired the crack head. it used to be that he dealt with production issues, and i handled all the R & D and new product development. now i have to do both, and i have zero production or assembly experience whatsoever, but yet i'm expected to streamline our assembly and testing processes, deal with vender issues, and all this other bullshit. i want to go back to just creating lightning indoors (on purpose) and blowing shit up.

i'm considering selling my soul and sending a resume in for an electrical job on an oil rig off the coast of newfoundland. it would triple my salary and i would get two weeks vacation every month.

My boss's boss's boss once called me so I could tell someone on my staff to tell a customer to change her PayPal information because the customer got married and updated her last name with us but not with PayPal.

The fucking executive VP of the entire corporation, noticed this one fucking thing and it bugged her so much she demand the customer change it.

Hubby is in training to sell Cutco knives which I'm pretty sure will be as useless of a job as being the Avon lady...as long as they don't actively steal from us it can't hurt to try, I guess. They say one receives pay whether they sell anything or not but that can't be true without a catch.
