i made two new friends at work today.

since im getting sorta kinda demoted temporarily im going to have to learn a lot of people's names. there's probably 20 new people since i moved from being a regular cashier to customer service.

shit im not looking forward to having to do all the shit i used to have to do.

its not technically a demotion as my job title is the same and i wont lose my pay rate. but it really is.

ok, i got reassigned back to my old job. i did get a raise and though technically my title was the same ("cashier"), i worked at customer service and was considered customer service staff, but not officially. you only officially get that title when you start working with the money in the back office. im assuming im keeping my pay rate, i dont think its worth it for them to fuck with my whole 50 cents, they'll just stiff me at my next review which is next month.

no one is even mad or anything, it's just company policy, after X times within a certain time period you are reassigned for 6 months. ill be back up there after that most likely. also considering moving departments.

honestly it will be nice not having to deal with all that money and worrying every day about my stupid register and people having their hands in it. school is my focus. i only work like 25 hours a week now anyway. add more rationalizations here.

I think that social struggles aren't usually a result of some kind of deficiancy in a person but rather just by them being different and having different interests than whatever the current trend is.

If you're different than the norm then by definition there's less people that you're likely to relate to and get along with. So there's less chance of finding friendship and love. So then you feel like something is wrong with you or that you're not attractive or something.

There is also an intelligence factor. Who wants to be friends with dumb people (or even average people if they don't share your interests), especially superficial ones? I need to be able to have a good conversation with a friend.
