Some people are just misinformed or brainwashed. They are persuadable, and it is a good thing to show them your side. You can't do that by ignoring them or calling them names. You have to appeal to what is right about what they are saying, and then introduce, logically, why other things are also true.

I mean, most people have a stupid or ignorant opinion about something. It doesn't make them bad, not worth talking to, or beyond redemption.

well 200 comments later it's over, it was civil for awhile but eventually the guy said I was being a dick to women and I told him to go fuck off. Then the chick finally conceded women face huge amounts of workplace discrimination but still insists that men are oppressed as much, just in different, less publicized ways
