Yep. While Russia cranks out a ton of talented players, most play a very individualistic style and refuse to play defense. For every Datsyuk (who is one of the best players in the world) there are several Ovechkins and Kovalchuks who possess all the skill in the world but not the desire to do what you have to do to win at the highest levels. Good for Selanne scoring the GWG at the tender age of 63.

Clearly the U.S. has been the dominant team this tourney, but I still figure Canada will somehow bring it all together in their play because now they have to. U.S. seems like the more confident team and I think that's a carryover from 2010. This team is better than that one, so...go USA!!!

Politics too...they had way too many KHL'ers and looked past a bunch of studly NHL Russians. I understand they didn't even bring the best KHL players on board.

Russian hockey is too mobbed up. Is Igor Larionov not associated with the hockey team? Sounds like they need a real leader to mitigate the mobster agents who wield too much influence over there.

arsenal and bayern munich played today. two fuckin world all star super-teams whaling on each other.

i think bayern could win a world cup. i think real and barca could win a world cup (spain + messi? come on...shoe in)...I'm wondering if PSG is that good, too.

My question about hockey is, do you think the blackhawks could win the olympics?

we are assuming duplicates here. I mean Xavi would play for spain and Barca. Whatever your hockey guys would be duplicated, all stats and abilities exactly aligned.
