I'm going to be honest, I was not aware there were television shows besides Breaking Bad.

House of Cards is pretty good. Just finished episode 7. Although I get pretty bored when characters become primarily motivated by sex. I hope that doesn't end up happening. Also the parts where Underwood talks to the camera can be pretty jarring, but I get why they do it that way.

Tried watching Firely and couldn't make it past the first half hour of the pilot. Is there a reason I should continue watching it?

They are only doing one more season? Fucking weak. It is one of HBO's best shows and they can go for years by just keeping on following the timeline.

"You've said before you'd like to have six seasons. What's the bigger picture — the formation of the Big Seven, the gangster conference in Atlantic City, the beginnings of a national crime syndicate? Are all these subplots to serve a greater whole?" -

"Hopefully we'll get to six, if not more than that. Six at minimum to be fully satisfied. And yes, if we get that far, I want to show the Big Seven. Nucky almost alluded to that in episode nine, that he was sort of thinking along those lines, so hopefully we'll get there, or even the end of Prohibition. So yes, I'm thinking of a bigger picture. Certain people will come and go, and minor players or certain people we meet along the way will come to prominence in later years."

I haven't watched it in a couple of years, but that episode "Out of Gas" is everything.

the pilot is one of the best eps, shows why he ended up writing the avengers

so if that was not good then you can't be helped

Personally I think the pilot episode is kind of slow-moving, I wouldn't rank it amongst the best episodes of the show. I can't remember any of them by name, but my favorites are when they go to Ariel to look at River's brain, the one with the brothel (Whedon has a way of really just making you viscerally hate men who mistreat women), and the two Christina Hendricks episodes. I would say to Bread Regal it is definitely worth forging through some more even if the pilot didn't stick with you, especially since the show is only half a season long.

well some of the first eps are pretty dire

as a pilot the fire fly pilot is perfectly crafted, there's a lot of shit you have to do

and christina hendricks is so dreamy

its a show about a serial killer looking for a serial killer. only this serial killer works for the cops and he only serial kills super bad guys. so he's an anti-hero, right? part of me wants to keep watching for the moment he gains supernatural powers or some other absurdity.

also i hate his sister.

so the new episode of archer...

i've been watching the old ones to catch up again, and i'm noticing that i can't tell if it was intentional the whole time or just a benefit of being vague, but the twist in the premier is logically consistent through season 1 so far...
