to be considered for inclusion in the list, malapropisms will need to adhere to a rigorous set of standers.

Nice to see you change your mind on LA a little bit. I remember you visited once and detested it. But I have always maintained, as has any angeleno in the know, that it's a horrible city to visit but a cool place to live in.

Yeah I used to hate it. But I visited recently as was charmed by it.
I still see the things I didn't like about it, but see a bigger picture, I think. LA seems to have this weird magic -- it's terrible yet amazing, hideous yet beautiful. Something so utterly American about it.
That said I could see myself doing a year or so but wouldn't live there for much longer.
I am pretty smitten with the Californian environment in general. I've been all over it lately and it's really something.

Tim and I went to LA for my cousin's wedding. I didn't get to see much except for the area around Union Square for the wedding and Highland Park where she lives. She's from Austin and left because she said it had turned to shit and there are tons better available services for her son who is autistic in LA - plus, she likes the strong Latino culture. She's a mover and a shaker and evidently there are lots of things to keep her entertained in addition to just starting law school at UCLA.

Other than she (and her little family), I know one other girl who lives there and she only has good things to say about it, too. But she has a giant outdoor edible garden and works for Disney so she gets to go whenever she wants! Some people just really thrive and love it there, but I don't think I'd be one of them.

And the real perk, of course, is that everything is paid for.
Some guys I know do it much more, too, the guys that mostly do fashion. They're back and forth between NY, LA, Paris, London constantly. Some of them complain about it and I make a point to scold them. Crazy to not be grateful for this.

Sounds interesting. PM me a link to your work?
Do you like Raymond Pettibon's work? Stunning show of his up now in New York, wish you were around to see it.

I asked about Michael because I know he's also from Salt Lake City. Jus throwing it out there.

I adore NYC, yeah. It's everything I've wanted. I could rant for a while. Don't think I'll ever go back to Toronto. God bless the U.S.A!
I would move to LA for a half a year or a year or something like that. I like LA and would like to live there for a bit, but I couldn't stay there too long. I really want to go to London too, but the immigration stuff is the problem (I have a work visa for the US so I'll be here for a while I think).
i just have pics up on instagram but only for a couple i have been meaning to put all my stuff online in a portfolio but i have only a cell phone to work with right now until i can find an old laptop and start interneting proper again.

i feel bad for not knowing about michael, i'm really bad about participating in the "scene" here, except for the music part.

i'm stoked you're gonna be in the usa. it is such a varied and amazing and shitty place just depending on when and where and how you are where you are. i say i hate la, but there are parts i like about it and the more i read about it from people who do live there and have live there it makes me want to atleast try living there for a year or two and see. i really want to live in san fran and san diego. so many places i want to gypsy around to.

In 3 hours the only post on this board is from a Chinese spambot. Remember the days when you couldn't keep a topic on page one.
