When we know a potential target is using chemical weapons, the first thing any military leader would suggest is definitely putting soldiers right there amongst the gas. Especially when a standing rebel army is already in place on the ground. You guys must not know anything about war.

Now I didn't go to West Point or anything, but I have played Star Craft a ton.

My prediction is Obama is going to drop about a million zerglings into battle, and have them start attacking Assad's marines. Before Assad gets any firebats, what Obama is gonna do is try and rush out a few mutalisks to bash in his defenses in a single-target hit-and-run style approach. If we're lucky, Russia won't step in with zealots and dragoons because that'd really make things tricky for us.

glad to see British Parliament (narrowly) voting against Cameron's intent to back the US. seems like Dave jumped the gun a tad by recalling Parliament for a vote before Obama announced he'd go for Congressional approval. then supposedly the Opposition renege on an assurance to back the Government in the vote. first PM to lose a foreign policy vote in 150 years, apparently. his argument seemed to consist of the images of children from Syria, and a gut instinct that Assad is responsible, even if it couldn't be proven yet. i don't think Cameron, Hague, Clegg or Milliband know the first thing about foreign policy tbh. amateur hour reigns.

if the US plus "oldest allies" (aka former "surrender monkeys") succeed in toppling the regime they will have zero clue as to what will replace it, will be (as usual) flummoxed if a Liberal Democratic model is not wholeheartedly embraced etc etc. do they not know how this plays out yet? oh, the image of the US (and West) in the Muslim world will not improve at all, probably quite the opposite.
