Makes sense. I took at at age 19 and was pretty pissed off at every authority figure that suggested I waste time sitting in classrooms for 4 years when I could have just taken that piece of shit test instead.

i had to do all kinds of backflips to graduate on time... had to take a bunch of credit equivalency exams and they were hard and expensive. i don't know why just taking the GED never crossed my mind

so stupid

The practice test said, "punctuation goes outside the quotes".
"That seems odd," I replied.
"Yes it seems odd, but it's definitely correct."
"Well then how do you explain this?"
"Well, English has lots of exceptions. It's why the ability to spell is not a good indicator of intelligence."
"I know, right? Like, ''I' before 'e' except after 'c'' is not really a spelling rule, because ''I' before 'e' except after 'c', and these 12 exceptions' is more accurate."
"I'm not entirely sure that you did those quotes within quotes within quotes correctly."

Ex.

1. Erica said, "Bullshit, I say!"

2. A word your mom uses too much is "awesome".

They're both correct.
yeah see I fucked up

Considering I basically didn't go to high school (my school was a bunch of bullshit compared to what most HSers have to learn), and I haven't studied anything since then except maybe 2-3 hours total for the math test, it's completely ridiculous that I scored so high. The percentiles are based on the scores of graduating high school seniors (that graduated with regular diplomas, if I understand correctly). There is no fucking way I should be better at this shit then they are. A lot of the test is just common sense.

The first math part was sort of challenge (mostly logic problems), and the second part was almost 100% reading graphs.

The social studies was mostly reading comprehension and common knowledge (what social movement occurred in America in the 1960s?).

The science was basically the same thing. Read this paragraph, and then select which one of these things is a fact and not an opinion. Shit like that.

It's terribly easy. The fact that I'm apparently better at this than the vast majority of graduating seniors says more about how shitty the education system is than anything else.

i dunno. i think i have above average intelligence but i'm not super smart.

thanks though

i can see how this test would be really hard for someone with attention problems though. that would be tough. i had a lot of extra time i didn't use on every test except the first part of the math test... and it was still a three hour ordeal. i was scheduled from 7:45 to 1:30pm though and that would have been pushing it. but i scheduled it that way soooo

i got a perfect score on reading. they need to score my writing essay before i get my score, but somehow I think I'll get a very high score i'm done now; just gotta wait for that score and 3-4 weeks for my diploma.

psychology most likely

other possibilities:
chemistry to go in to pharmacy
nursing

first things first, i gotta take some classes that i "failed" when i got sick and had to drop out after the drop date.

although, considering I "wasn't eligible" to go to college and they let me go before they verified my transcript, i am wondering if i can get them to take those Fs off.

really, i'm pretty sure i'll be doing psychology. but i don't have any credits so i have time to decide. the community college has a generic "bachelor of arts" path that i'll be enrolled in

The dumbest thing I ever did was not just drop out of HS at 16 and just get my GED. I'm pretty sure I would have passed it without even trying.

The second dumbest thing I ever did was then waste time in college racking up bills studying shit that I really was not that interested in just because that's what you need to do after you waste years in HS learning crap you already know. I've never made one penny off anything thing I learned in college.

When I was 16 I was offered a spot in a culinary training program for Hilton hotels, I would have had to drop out of HS to do it, my mother freaked out. Biggest mistake of my life passing that up, not that I had much choice.
