yeah it wasn't at all bad. i kinda got dragged along to see it, not being what you would call a big fan of the original, but it was all good.

seeing World War Z tomorrow. not read the book or anything but it's got zombies and helicopters so i am there!

I saw Pacific Rim in a regular digital theater on Saturday. I liked it alot.

I went with a few friends last night to see it again. This time in IMAX 3D. The 3D was shit. Horrible. I knew what was going to happen during the film and I still had a difficult time following some of the action sequences. Worse than any other 3D film I've seen. Really blurry and choppy. I was surprised that it was as bad as it was, knowing that the film had a huge budget and the FX were so good on a normal screen.

I'm not sure what went on with the 3D conversion, but it doesn't help the movie.

3d is shit and should die

films that are not made in 3d invariably suffer when converted to 3d. it's a stupid gimmick that died once already and god damn it why hasn'tyet.

I agree. It really is horrible. As is "D Box". I don't understand why anybody wants their chair shaken while they watch a movie.

I only went to the 3D version because the group I went with last night didn't have the option of another show time. I wish now I would have skipped it.

yeah i have no clue why it apparently has leg this time around. the use of 3D in Prometheus was okay as it was understated and not a post-production add-on. funnily enough, while waiting for Prometheus to come on i watched a 10-minute preview of the Spider-man film and fuck me that was annoying.

my brother has a slight crook-eye and can't appreciate 3D

in that scene in can't hardly wait where the dude is talking about having to wear a patch and the 3D was lost on him, we diiiiieeeed because my brother had to wear a patch when he was younger too

lots of people hate that movie because it doesn't tell them what to think and there isn't a constant stream of "witty" bullshit spewing out of every character for you to memorize and then quote later

I wasn't aware of that since I don't know anyone who disliked Drive. But then again I don't know anyone who waited until 2013 to watch Big Lebowski - besides swallowed.

I got tired of watching Kill Bill on repeat, already seen World War Z four times, and sadly there isn't a new Twilight movie, either. Utter desperation.

Seriously though, never seen Kurosawa's "Stray Dog " before, it's brilliant.

In 1990, to protect his fragile mother from a fatal shock after a long coma, a young man must keep her from learning that her beloved nation of East Germany as she knew it has disappeared.

I'm not a huge fan of foreign flicks, but this was a great one. The premise is rather simple and much of the intrigue is in the physical aspect of the son trying to build a virtual time portal around his mother. She fell into the coma after she got a heart attack watching him protest against the GDR and get arrested. classic.

stars Danial Bruhl who later was in Inglorious Basterds.
