it was good, and yeah some movies you appreciate more on a second viewing (its a show, but arrested development is like this). But when you need a chart like that for things to be clear then I knock it down a star.

Mama was definitely creepy and scary but as the film progressed and you got over exposed to the CGI and seeing more of Mama that went out the window. I also felt the ending was completely pointless. Mama could have achieved her aim within the first 10 minutes of the film.

My horror film of 2013 so far is the Maniac remake.

Just watched Jim gaffigan's mr. Universe. Pretty good, really. Seemed like he petered off a bit at the end there, though. Had me wondering a little bit about what kind of a pressure there would be on famous standups now with a model like burr and c.k.are setting up with the work ethic involved.

About to watch gangster squad lol. Oh and I saw parker last night. Pretty basic action type movie, but the villian dudes were kinda tho I thought the characters played out really well and a nice satisfactory ending

I finally got around to creating a Netflix account, just in time for the big Arrested Development viewing party tomorrow. It's not exactly legal here in Austria, but possible, thanks to the MediaHint plug-in and the fact that Netflix really wants my credit card information.
I instantly got hooked; the sheer number of films and TV shows is incredible. And of course my girlfriend and I started off with two bad ones.

48 Hrs. - D

Who thought giving Nick Nolte a leading role was a good idea, especially in Eddie Murphy's first flick? The plot was ridiculous, the performances abysmal, the humour embarrassing. Holy shit.

Morning Glory - C-

Now, I'm a big Harrison Ford fan, but not even he could salvage this shitfest; not once in my live have I seen a more formulaic and predictable movie. Well, at least it had Jeff Imwatchingyoupee Goldblum.

Created a netflix account sums it up nicely.

It's ridiculous that we don't have anything that comes close to it here. I don't get it, it's a sure way to make money. People even buy the fucked up sky package

Iron Man III was god awful. It made the second movie look great by comparison.

i saw star trek 2 a few weeks ago. not a trek fan but i loved the 2009 movie... so i was hoping they'd do something unique with the next one but they kind of phoned it in IMO. it was still good but had sequelitis written all over it. the next movie (if there is one) is set up to be the "exploration" movie and that sounds more up my alley

also it had to be the worst 3D i've ever seen in a movie. i don't know if it was because the screen wasn't imax or what but i walked out of the theater with a terrible headache

Watched The Big Lebowski last night. It blew my expectations in a few ways

* I didn't realise that The Dude was the main character and not a support character
* I didn't realise that William was a support character and not the main character
* I didn't realise that Jesus was not the film's main antagonist, and didn't know that he would only be in about three scenes
* I didn't realise that the plot had entirely nothing to do with bowling
* It wasn't just good, it was really really fucking good.

Saw Man of Steel. First half was dreary exposition, the second half a non-stop orgy of destruction. Zack Snyder is apparently the latest graduate of the Paul Greengrass School of Shaky Camera Work. Well-acted, but not much character development. Action and effects were cool. Too much blatant Christian symbolism. Negative points for propagating the false belief that overpasses are adequate protection from tornadoes. Enjoyed it a bit, but I expect more from the inevitable sequel.

B-

Really? I didn't think the 3D was bad in it. I did see it in IMAX though, so I dunno.

The worst 3D I've ever personally seen in a movie theater was Tron Legacy. Blurry mess, that was.
